30/4/2008 16:36 | something is stirring? | humbugg
30/4/2008 12:03 | Divi of 1.5p from 60m CMM shares 60m shares in CMM Have they still got shares in DTEC and other currently unlisted companies? Seems to me they are valued at a significant discount to the CMM holding and cash. | the drewster
30/4/2008 09:46 | A little hasty as I think CMM is a well run business that can produce cash at a hell of a rate and is a viable acquistion target. Once sold I think that CVS will use the cash for its own acquistion, that said they really should be move active trying to increase share holder value, has AR got the skill set to do that? Time will tell. | a2584728
28/4/2008 22:10 | Looked at both the Corvus and Commoditrade accounts at the weekend. Corvus has nothing left really apart from CMM. CMM is a real pile of rubbish imo; it doesn't fully own its main trading unit and has to pay employees to stay for the next two years in advance. That's no business that is going to create shareholder value. My conclusion was that Corvus wasn't worth anything at all really! | topvest
28/4/2008 14:44 | He has blown it really at this present moment, he jumped on all new IPO's and is now paying the price, he needs an acquisition or reversal to turn things round, it may be nice if he paid his own Dorchester bill as well, that would save 000's | a2584728
25/4/2008 15:14 | Do you think this is being sold down on more of a personal front than fundamentals? Dire performance, and no doubt several of his close associates would have long positions form in the 20's, so he has hardly scored many points in their books! | the drewster
25/4/2008 14:38 | Corvus was meant to be Andrew Reagans way abck into the city after the Co-op fiasco, he was going to get it firstly into the 250 then the FTSE 100 well that has dramatically failed. I wonder what he is going to do to get some kind of respectability back in the business world. Needs to do something soon before this goes pop. | a2584728
16/4/2008 11:43 | 60m x 1.5p dividends is nice I guess. c.300m CVS shares, so worth a significant percentage of the current company! Still can't shake the idea of CVS buying CMM out of my head, which probably means it isn't even on the radar! Would be interesting though, not sure which insti's they would need to support them to get the deal through, and Mr R is probably overdrawn in his goodwill account with some city heavyweights given CMM and CVS share price performance. | the drewster
15/4/2008 16:52 | i am told they have got the overheads down substantially,ie close to £1m as against last years £5m+ so i would imagine they are rejigging the board in line with that.cmm better today and cvs will get a decent divi out of those soon.still a seller of these around though, probably just a fed up holder...i know the feeling! | bubface
15/4/2008 16:40 | topvest, they could do with reducing costs. not sure if thats the reason though. | humbugg
14/4/2008 21:11 | 2 non-execs stepping down today; no reason given. Looks like something is going down here and it's not being shared around. Looks bad! | topvest
08/4/2008 20:11 | Probably a load of T-traders in at 2p banking profits. The silence form the company is deafening. | the drewster
07/4/2008 09:02 | Looking a little bleak to say the least. Some clarification from CMM and the CVS plans for it would presumably give much clearer direction. | the drewster
07/4/2008 08:42 | the downtrend is well and truely back on schedule | humbugg
04/4/2008 08:50 | get in ggt | bubsy2
03/4/2008 10:39 | Sold up the rest of my holding this morning (had bought at 1.8p) Have added to LNG for the mega announcement next week. Might be back at a later date. Good luck to all holders | matt c
01/4/2008 13:38 | 3.5 is going to be tough to crack looking at the activity of the last week, so who will win out in the end I wonder. | the drewster
28/3/2008 09:15 | haha, thanks bubface et al...am in for the ride as I see momentum at the very least taking this above 5p+...am also in CMM as I fundamentally think this has been sold down by MF Global wantign to exit at any price and others so looks IMO oversold...could be massively wrong, but there you go...last RNS they said they were on for making £16m and have net cash, so any market cap below £80m++ (ignoring the cash) looks silly IMO. | qs9
28/3/2008 08:33 | Nice to see a balance of bears and bulls ... I guess we have a market. I am very very long here now. | the drewster
28/3/2008 07:53 | So Credit Agricole Cheuvreux International Ltd has upped it's stake from 7% to 9% in CVS. Interesting! A bit of confidence there. | matt c
27/3/2008 18:09 | QS9,i agree re cmm,i believe they had us expecting results week of 21st april,i think this could be brought forward to early april.i think if you like cmm you buy cmm, at least it has a profitable business [and hopefully will join the dividend list].whereas here there is the typical "lots of opportunities" spheel but they appear to be further away from doing a big deal than ever, and now they can't reverse some rubbish into some overvalued shell and run for the hills in this market...means they don't have a business. | bubface
27/3/2008 17:56 | don't like the way they wait until the very limits of regulations before announcing their results for a Sept y/e! However, CMM IMO is vastly undervalued and this alone to me means CVS is also undervalued IMO and am happy to take a punt on that basis. CMM results cannot be to far off, hopefully a significant rise from there should help CVS! | qs9
27/3/2008 17:22 | Simple - the directors take most of the value in excessive salaries, bonuses and offices in London, Geneva etc. etc.! | topvest
27/3/2008 16:55 | i have followed this for a while now - i can't understand why the firm has a market cap of less than 10m, whilst the cmm stake is pretty much worth that alone? is it possible to get an idea of what the underlying investments are? the bonus and pay that has been taken out of this company seems very large also...? thanks. | prestonpark |
