26/3/2008 19:05 | sold my 100k at 3.25p.... sorry guys! - still think there is long term value here... just not sure about management. Would have held for longer but bought in at 2.095 on thursday and happy with quick gain as didn't have to part with the money. Will still watch with interest Good luck to all holders. | supreme mo
26/3/2008 15:25 | Plenty of cash and sitting waiting for the right deal that will be funded by the Monaco based cash cows | a2584728
26/3/2008 10:35 | certainly may be a decent buy at these levels.. on the flipside, i always tend to wonder why in most "investing type" companies, overheads admin expenses are so high.. anyway.. saffy.. | safman
26/3/2008 10:24 | be interesting to see if the overheads are still burning through cash at the same rate as first half [£2.5m odd!] or whether the costs are now running more in line with the penny share this has become. | bubface
26/3/2008 10:17 | I understand that mann financial was the seller as they have cash problems and margin calls all over the place. Results willcome with Bullish statement I guess and a plan for the way forward. Desperately cheap here. | a2584728
26/3/2008 10:17 | if the forced seller has sold all, then a bounce certainly on the cards.. MF global has been liquidating quite a few positions.. saffy.. | safman
26/3/2008 07:56 | the drewster, if CVS were looking to take out CMM, would'nt CMM be the place to invest?? ;-))) | humbugg
26/3/2008 07:26 | As regards CMM there has been a massive share buyback at average price of 24.5p. That only stopped because the company went into a closed period at beginning of Feb. Share price has since collapsed to current 10.25p on what looks like forced selling or shorting. So plenty of upside to get even close to the average buyback price. | hugepants
26/3/2008 07:20 | a fair reflection of the company then?? | bubface
25/3/2008 22:09 | I don't like this interview or the new web-site much - all a bit bland, although looks good. Lacks substance! | topvest
25/3/2008 22:07 | INTERVIEW FROM ANDREW REAGAN -1st February 2008 What is Corvus Capital's strategy? Our strategy set out two years ago was to build a skill set and the financial resources to enable Corvus Capital to bid for cash-flow based assets of size. We have continued to increase the capital base of the company and we've established a strong network of funding partners from the international financial community, both key factors in securing a lower cost of capital. What sort of progress have you made to date? Over the last two years we have made significant progress on all key fronts. We have very strong banking and equity funding relationships and now Corvus is well positioned to acquire, either as principal or in partnership, sizeable companies which we believe have significant inherent value which is not otherwise being achieved by its incumbent management or reflected in its market value. What about people? Well this is a key area in any business and we've built-up a very strong international team with expertise across a range of disciplines in finance, accounting and law. We have a team with very good experience in corporate transactions and IPO's across a number of sectors. How have Corvus Capital's investment activities performed over the last two years? Corvus has been successful in creating value from its trading activities across a number of investments in the small cap segment of the market and over the last two years we have created cash and capital value within investee businesses of over £40 million. What's next for Corvus? We have a successful investment strategy which has delivered over £40 million of cash and unrealised gains in the last two years. We'll continue to pursue further dynamic growth from investment in the small cap market, locking-in cash gains when it is appropriate. We will also continue to identify larger investments where Corvus can secure significant additional value for shareholders on a larger scale. Andrew Regan Chief Executive Corvus Capital Inc Have things really changed that much in the last 7 weeks?.. we shall see! | matt c
25/3/2008 21:55 | hi. Yes, I don't hold either, but Corvus are certainly interesting. Can't decide whether they have good potential or are a pile of rubbish myself. Share price indicates the latter, but you never know! | topvest
25/3/2008 21:46 | Hi top, OK - I do not have detailed knowledge of either CMM or Corvus - nor do I hold either - I am simply interested because CVS have a major stake in DTEC. | cyprussteve
25/3/2008 21:37 | Results will be bad. We know that already given that CMM has fallen off a cliff and they haven't made any sizeable gains. Only potential for good news is a deal or new strategy. | topvest
25/3/2008 21:31 | Hi top - next Monday is my guess also, and, usually Monday is a good day to announce, providing , of course, that results are good. I also hold DTEC,which I have great confidence in, so, I am keeping my fingers crossed. | cyprussteve
25/3/2008 21:26 | They have next Monday as well. Looks like results could be announced at the last possible moment! | topvest
25/3/2008 21:04 | steve, cvs under aim rules need to come out with results before end of the month [they came out 26th feb last year] as they have 30 sept year end. cmm came out 22nd feb last year [31st dec year end] this year week commencing 21st april, see 25th feb pre close update. | bubface
25/3/2008 20:56 | Cyprus, cvs must report by the end of the week.... as someone said further up the thread their y/e is september and so they have 6 months to report figures to comply with aim rules. Not sure about the other 2. Lets hope for another blue day tomorrow... word is the seller is out... if so makes you wonder who has bought them all. | supreme mo
25/3/2008 20:47 | Also they have a large holding in DTEC, who are due to announce results this week. I think that both CVS and CMM are also due to announce shortly - do we have dates yet ? Regards Steve | cyprussteve
25/3/2008 20:34 | very interesting day... a rise up just before the bell and buyer made to pay 2.75 for 100k... could the seller be out? | supreme mo
25/3/2008 15:47 | sometimes an opportunity when someone is a forced seller.. good luck.. saffy.. | safman
25/3/2008 10:11 | Would make sense wouldn't it? This is well oversold, in again tomorrow. | matt c
25/3/2008 08:08 | the drewster, your conspiracy theory could well materialise. added a few more this morning. | humbugg
24/3/2008 23:16 | I have ian... some interesting articles on there. One interesting one about cvs is www.telegraph.co.uk/ happy reading! | supreme mo |
