JAF, I didn't lose on CR. The dosh barstlett lost wasn't his so he doesn't care. For you to lose £80k and take it lying down when you know that the posters on here that were pro CR were stooges and even barstlett himself was posting knowing the company was going down the pan beggars belief. This bb needs keeping alive - it comes up if people are researching franchising.

cw - maybe she managed to get out of blinks BEFORE losing on that one too. She has nothing to say anyway.

This was a money making venture for one manipulating, prancing little kid - Barstlett. No morals - took mates for hundreds of thousands of pounds. I would not like to be in his shoes ................ but, he's probably still enjoying the fruits of his labours.

One wonders if the franchisees had done any home work before entering into any contracts with such a week company in the first place – coffee republic had been a source of misfortune for many years long before franchise was introduced as a concept only because nothing else had worked well documented on this and other boards free for anyone to see - the company had never made any money - there might have been some successful branches but overall money loosing organization from the day one only good for the stock market to play with it

Dirty tricks still going on - received this mail yesterday. Anyone wanting to invest in the new company if it is listed again ........... More misery and destruction - If only potential franchisees of any business model knew what COULD happen .......

"Just to drop you an email to let you know that some of the franchisees got notice from the landlord to hand back the shops after the NEW CR didn't try to take the lease and left it for the individuals to deal with. Some of them are successful franchisees that will lose everything with out any fault from their side.

The new management, I was told, is looking to pen their own company owned shops and it look like they are will leave the franchise part of the business to die"
