30/7/2009 08:26 | I doubt barty is - remember he was wanting all the franchisees to support his own bid. Wouldn't put it past him though. But I suspect he has too much baggage with the franchisees for a new owner to want him on board. | krod mandoon
30/7/2009 08:24 | Was it not Barty who instigated the intial Arab contact with CFE. I wonder if he is in the background. | carwhite
30/7/2009 07:37 | krod what hapens to all the franchisees and rdfs ..oh sorry there isnt any rdfs as they were either churned or barty gave them shares back for them..bet those who sold back their rdf for shares are over the moon | crdirect
30/7/2009 07:21 | molatov - YES ! Why unfair ? The administrators have sold the assets for the best they can get. There will not be enough to pay the creditors - particularly those who own the properties leased to CFE. So why as a shareholder who must have known the risk when you invested do you think it is unfair that you'll get nowt back ? | krod mandoon
29/7/2009 21:32 | So not being an expert in companies in administration, the Arabs have steamed in, bought the company and what are we left with? Worthless share certificates? It seems to me particularly unfair that this can happen. | molatovkid
29/7/2009 12:25 | jonc looks liek im not the only bad businessman .. so managed to con people and still missed out takign it private ,fabulous achievement . | crdirect

28/7/2009 16:02 | Carwhite - 28 Jul'09 - 10:43 - 5617 of 5635 ...... Reading JonC's posts again makes me puke and based upon ADVFN continuing support of his and others' rubbish posts, this web site based upon JonC's diatribal input should be renamed ADVANCE INFANTILE DYSLEXIC LEARNING CENTRE. =========== :o)) | i_hopi
28/7/2009 16:01 | Jockblue, Good post earlier, I believed, I lost, time to move on now, a bit poorer but a lot wiser from the experience. Paul | paulmhammond
28/7/2009 15:58 | Krod - Yes it was risky, I always thought so even if others didn't....however, the story was credible if it worked and a basket case if it didn't. A bit like PHRM for instance:-) | jockblue
28/7/2009 15:57 | lol. More conspiracy theories. What was your previous posting name? | jonc
28/7/2009 15:39 | You would surely know as that is all you have ever posted here, perhaps your childish posts were just a Barty's blind. | carwhite
28/7/2009 14:48 | Rubbish!!! | jonc
28/7/2009 14:06 | HE HAS ALREADY HUNG HIMSELF BY HIS OWN WORDS. | carwhite
28/7/2009 12:23 | For what? You need evidence not tittle tattle. | jonc
28/7/2009 11:53 | jock - good post. What is certainly true about CFE is that most of the dirt that normally goes on behind closed doors in businesses has been done out in the open. An entertaining story for me - sorry to see so many decent people lose their shirts. But sheesh it was always going to be a lot riskier than many of those posting seemed to believe. | krod mandoon
28/7/2009 11:20 | "no debt during a recession" - that was never a positive. Barclays pulled the plug so they had to raise equity to pay off the loan. | krod mandoon
28/7/2009 11:04 | crdirect, Don't go off at a tangent. In your mind, these are evidence of lies. To me, they are business deals that were either talked about and didn't happen, or tried and failed. That is not the same as posting a fact on here that the business was bad. And no, even if these deals did fail, that does not make them conmen. All businesses try things - some work, some don't. Some facts please, from anyone. Macro-economic pronouncements are meaningless - we are in a recession so any business could fail. Raising cash ? Bobby Hashemi diluted the shares more than P & B so that's not a fact. Had the company been a success, one could just as easily point to a number of positives - no debt during a recession, experienced management (at least Peter and Barty had run businesses before), expanding the company into new countries. Post hoc ergo propter hoc ? Not from the posts on here. That's my lot now. The money gone, I'm moving on. | jaf1948 |
