"Barty is still there coining it" ?
Thought he and breach were paid nowt, and both have chucked in most of their assets which are now worthless.

The reason why Barty is still there coining it is perhaps the same reason why most people have not marched on Westminster to bring people's prosecutions against MPs who have lied, robbed and cheated on their expense, and while doing so seen Britain sink further down the cesspit.

Is it called the British disease of complacency? Akin to.... do what you like as long as I have my tele?

Have we not all suffered long and hard over the antics of the corrupt, is it not now time to say...enough is clearly enough, or do we all forever remain cabbages?

When the administrators have finished and CFE ceases to be and becomes a private company or gets amalgamated with Costa or Nero or something else i guess that this BB will cease to be. What and where will WS et al be giving vent to their collective angst as displayed in postings as above?

Very tough decisions taking stores from a man in a coma, taking two stores from one man with a purchaser lined up - charging more than M&S for supplies, giving false figures for turnovers of stores - getting franchisees' builders to "uplift" £40k on costs, great, real tough decisions - JAF your selectiveness is incredible which is why I, for one, do not believe that you are JUST a shareholder - unless you are still a practicing guitarist - with the brains of. YOU were HAPPY with the management - but, they lost you tens of thousands - bloody incredible, and you are happy to walk away, nothing said, just put it all down to experience - even more bloody incredible.

The administrators have my details and all the concerns I have raised - so does the journalist at The Sunday Times and the Accountants investigations board, the CIB, the BFA - I WILL stay on and fight against this sort of franchise organisation which only builds churning and conning into it's business practice - I will fight to the death to make sure that the ordinary man on the street is NOT sold dreams - just facts.

This outfit is unscrupulous, mis-sells and lives in cloud bloody cookoo land and needs laying to rest

Where did Dan's £320k go
How many stores were churned over the last two years
Why does cfe smoked salmon cost more to buy from suppliers than M&S?
Why the wastage?
Why spend money on £600 block prints for shops?

The franchisees DO open individual accounts with suppliers - that's not a new concept - each store, if it goes under, is liable to the suppliers.

WHERE is the equipment from barstlett's Plymouth store and WHY was it removed ont he friday prior to issuing the RNS at 6 pm?

Why use an administrator who lives in Bristol - as does Peter Breach - ok, instructed by Barclays but wasn't Breach a banker in his previous life?

Where did all the money go from the churned stores - it isn't in the accounts - so is the amortisation of these funds going to be tic with the administrators or will it be hidden? along with all the "promises" to get franchisees to sign agreements?

How long will cfe get away with taking stores with no notice?

This, I think, is just the tip of the iceberg.

JAF you are a total, total, waste of space - I hope the exhaust drops off wifey's Merc - but buying that was probably a fib too.

Get RID of barstett once and for all - look at the piece of paper he wanted the franchisees to sign - is this a man you want to stand up and be counted with???????????????????????????????????????????

If there has been any badness on the part of the Directors, and the administrator becomes aware of it, he has a duty to report it. And will.
For avoidance of doubt, making tough business decisions doesn't count as badness.

ws,

"if you "shareholders" had started asking the questions Dan, Warren et al were asking, the company would not be in the shape it's in now - YOUR words "I am happy to let management manage"

This is where you lose me. You spend most of your time telling me and everyone else that the management of Coffee Republic behaved in illegal and immoral ways, by allegedly conning people out of money and churning stores. If that is true, and we shareholders had said 'hold on, CR, that's not nice', the company would have gone bust even sooner as you allege that their business model relied on conning and churning.

You can't have it both ways.

You're right - ws now is the time to post everything you know - CFE won't sue you they're bust! and I doubt Barty will, he's probably wasted enough money on CFE already.

It would be good to know the real facts.

The administrators will not be concerned whether the business was run badly or fraudulently. Their only concern is maximising the payout to all outstanding creditors, who ones assumes are landlords and possibly suppliers. Oh, and getting their fees paid!

If I was a landlord my priorities would be getting any rent owed and trying to strengthen my covenants. As a landlord I wouldn't want anything to do with Barty and Breach. Same old, same old. Ultimately, a single franchisee represents a poor covenant but in the current market this may be the only option and may be attractive if individual franchisees offer to pay more than one quarter in advance. If I was a franchisee I would make email all franchisee and propose the following:
1) Make an offer to the administrator of £5000 from each store for the rights to use use the CR brand. This would absolve each franchisor of any future obligation to pay any third party royalties whatsoever.
2) Set up separate accounts for each shop or franchisor with Key Catering, or whoever (Bunzl) for branded disposables, cups etc, and dot the same for all other suppliers.

This strategy may end up being the only option if all others fail. CR would essentially become a buying co-operative.

Whatever happens, don't expect the administators to seek justice, it's not their job. If anyone wants to post CR input costs, I let you know what you should expect to pay. My guess is current costs are 12-15% too high.

ws,

Prove something illegal has been done or shut up. Perhaps you took the alleged missing kit from the Plymouth shop - there's an equal amount of evidence against you.

At least we know who Barty is. All we know about you is that you introduced yourself on this BB with a rambling lie about how you were passing a Coffee Republic store and all the iniquities of the company were revealed to you there and then. You have lacked credibility from then on and have posted nothing since then to remove the feeling that you have a personal or professional vendetta against Barty.

ws,

'How you can possibly think this situation amusing beggars belief.'

I have lost tens of thousands of pounds. You have lost nothing. If I want to use a little humour, I believe I have earned it. Anyway, it was no more preposterous than some of the things you have posted and was backed with as much proof as you have ever given to your allegations.

And taking WelshG's comment, looking back on your posts, all you have done is help put many people out of work and many others to lose money. I hope you feel pleased with yourself.

Agreed - the administrative receiver and or liquidator will investigate any alleged breaches by the directors - provided that they have the evidence and are not sent on a wild goose chase. This is part of there legal responsibilities.

By the time they have completed the work there fees will probably be in excess of any monies realised, however, all who want, may have their pound of flesh.

If Breach or Barstlett come out of this with ANYTHING - there is something wrong in the world. YES I strongly advise Cricketer and anyone who has already given up any money to them - if they have lied to obtain money ................ What are you doing defending the pair AGAIN? Move forward, yes but make sure other people aren't duped by the same.

ws,

You say in previous posts you trying to help franchisees etc. But your actions would appear to somewhat concerning.

Why advise or hint at a solicitor to try and recoup money from a company in administration? If you can prove miss-selling then so what.. there is no income and limited assets that can be used to compensate.

With this in mind, all you are doing in encouraging a franchisee to spend more money paying legal fees.

One does hope your not calling yourself a 'coach' or 'Consultant' and seeking processional fees from franchisee too.

Everyone needs to move forward including you. If you are helping people then help them don't hinder them.

ws,

Names, dates and facts please. If any of these were true cases of fraud or other criminal acts, why did no one take CR to court and win ?

And why should I try and make friends with someone I do not know. I am just a shareholder who has lost money, but I am a strong believer in the law and fair play. The day anyone from CR management is convicted of a criminal offense, I will apologize to you on this board and admit you were right (as I did for Hammy). Until then, please stop your libellous postings.
