What with the results and AGM statement he's probably been in a closed period anyway. This is likely the very first opportunity to buy that he's had. And he took it.

RNS just out - very encouraging that the Chairman should make his maiden purchase of 14,000 shares right at the highs....



"Chamberlin plc (CMH.L), the specialist castings and engineering group, has been informed that Mr Keith Butler-Wheelhouse, the Company's chairman, acquired 14,000 ordinary shares in Chamberlin representing 0.18 per cent. of the total voting rights of the Company at a price of 1.66 pence per share on 25 July 2012.

The shares have been acquired by BW Family Limited, a company wholly owned by a family trust in which Mr Butler-Wheelhouse is a potential beneficiary. This represents Mr Butler-Wheelhouse's entire interest in the share capital of the Company."

A large 69k transaction @ 165p showing as a buy has just been made, any more and I'm sure these will move back up.

Very strong statement and as pointed out by rivaldo, as good as we could expect and an acquisition or two looks certain to happen soon. No idea why the market has marked these down this morning.

Nice solid statement so early into the financial year, I agree it feels like we are closer to an acquisition anouncement, they have £500,000 still sat in the accounts from the placing one year ago.

Excellent AGM statement - as good as could be hoped for. It sounds like we may soon get news of acquisitions too...

"In my first AGM statement as Chairman, I am pleased to report that the Group's trading in the first three months of the new financial year has been in line with management expectations and the Group remains strongly cash generative. As we previously reported, the Board's focus remains on increasing sales and improving Chamberlin's operational performance and we continue to make progress in these areas.
