Hi redartbmud, thx for the reply. I'm aware of how these things work, but I suppose the point I was clumsily trying to make was that if DIT had tried to get hold of a 25k block of shares in the market they'd probably have driven the share price up another 5p-10p :o))

If an institution wants to sell a stake, for whatever reasons, it asks the broker to offer it around the market. The two parties then cross the shares.

Another RNS - it seems that AXA top-sliced the 25k which went direct to the Diverse Income Trust:



Must be someone else accumulating then. Funny that to get hold of just 25k there had to be an institutional swap.

Intriguing trading - so far this week looks like over 60k of shares sold (not one buy), yet the price is as solid as a rock. Accumulation going on methinks.

Chart looking strong, CMH in the right sector at the right time imo. cfro, I think I mentioned that I brought these for my niece last year, well she is here on holiday at the moment, so I think now would be a good time to show her this investment. If I can get her out of the pool! Just a tad hot here today.

TBH, I don't think she will be that impressed really, other things more interesting at her age.

Succumbed and bought a few more. Only had a small holding so wanted to get my exposure up as these are doing so well.

PE still only 8.5.

Online looks great. You can sell 5k shares at 173p, but only buy 1k at the full 178p.

What with the results and AGM statement he's probably been in a closed period anyway. This is likely the very first opportunity to buy that he's had. And he took it.

RNS just out - very encouraging that the Chairman should make his maiden purchase of 14,000 shares right at the highs....



"Chamberlin plc (CMH.L), the specialist castings and engineering group, has been informed that Mr Keith Butler-Wheelhouse, the Company's chairman, acquired 14,000 ordinary shares in Chamberlin representing 0.18 per cent. of the total voting rights of the Company at a price of 1.66 pence per share on 25 July 2012.

The shares have been acquired by BW Family Limited, a company wholly owned by a family trust in which Mr Butler-Wheelhouse is a potential beneficiary. This represents Mr Butler-Wheelhouse's entire interest in the share capital of the Company."
