03/9/2013 15:17 | New CEO appointed from 09.09. Tim Hair to help with orderly handover. This should remove some uncertainty from the market and allow things to move onwards again. Well done Le Grande fromage! red | redartbmud
20/8/2013 11:40 | rimmy Current spread 95 - 102 and almost no volume. Not a trading stock I'm afraid. red | redartbmud
20/8/2013 11:08 | wow. I should have bought in at the bottom, circa 75p. Would have been an easy profit following the director in. | rimmy2000
20/8/2013 09:13 | Just goes to show that fromage, grande ou petite, can move mountains - or share prices! | redartbmud
20/8/2013 08:54 | Well timed KB-W price up 23% since your purchase at 80p ... | bench2
15/8/2013 10:32 | this is looking to be on the up. :) happy to hold here for now | rimmy2000
14/8/2013 08:48 | Chamberlin plc - chairman buys shares, should he be followed? | phoenix1234
13/8/2013 10:16 | bench2 Yes, Butler-Wheelhouse sees the same upturn in commercial vehicles that Castings (CGS)reported seeing today. | electronica
13/8/2013 09:02 | KBW aka "Le Grande Fromage " has just averaged down buying 25k @80p !!! | bench2
02/8/2013 21:16 | As a long-term holder, it seems to me that 2 institutional holders (Miton and R&I) hold the ace cards, but are not prepared to play them. CMH is one of those "okay" companies in terms of business skills, but needs help to keep it away from banana skins. | coolen
02/8/2013 20:52 | bench Precisely, but the appointment of a new CEO might give the share price a boost. I don't believe for one minute that Tim Hair will take his eye off the ball, but Mr Market doesn't like uncertainty. red | redartbmud
02/8/2013 17:34 | red In which case we are stuffed short term unless they can find some new orders . bench | bench2
01/8/2013 12:59 | bench Really? K B-W is a perma tan man isn't he? wonder where he spends most of his time. I believe Hairy Tim took Cmh as far as he could. Size matters in the markets that they have targeted, and it is something that they don't possess. The Cookmaister wouldn't want to pay anything more than petty cash, and it doesn't fit the H&S business model. red | redartbmud
01/8/2013 12:36 | I think the exec problems TH exit etc are a result of the new non-exec chm . Keith B-W is a large cap man ex CEO of Smiths Industries , ex NED of Sainsbury's , Atlas Copco etc , and with a long CV with the big auto makers GM , Ford etc . I am amazed he agreed to take the role at CMH and he cannot be happy with his Nov 2012 share purchases spending £75k on 44,500 shs an entry price of 168.5p . He is a no nonsense S.African born hands on exec so he must find this job frustrating . More unrest and fireworks to come . Probably GW at Miton thought KBW would sort things out sooner . Stock below NTAV but could still drift lower unless news improves .Watch and wait unless you believe CMH will be sold to Castings or H&S . | bench2
23/7/2013 22:22 | Red, my first contract note is in shillings and pence when it was Chamberlin & Hill. Sadly, I topped up at an even higher price as yourself, so joining you underwater. Hastings, thanks for the private punter link. Yes, R&I are too busy playing chess. But their own shares stand on a huge nav discount and there's a technical "wind-up" date approaching, so might they start paying more attention to their holdings ? Miton must be well p'd off, having taken a placing just prior to the latest debacle. | coolen
23/7/2013 15:09 | coolen If you are anything like me then you are under water on Chamberlin. Bought 16.08.1991 price 96p. red | redartbmud
23/7/2013 15:00 | Would think it is possible coolen, certainly with Miton, although not so sure about Rights&Issues. Keeping an eye on them myself. OT, you might like a look at the private punter website- privatepunter.co.uk Cheers H. | hastings
23/7/2013 13:35 | Good spot, Hastings. Nice to see well-researched investment articles appear in what I assume is a regional on-line newspaper of sorts. I've held this stock for 30 years and, to date, it has been a constant 2 steps forward and 2 steps back. Might the involvement of tough investors Gervais Williams (per the article) and Simon Knott (boss of Rights & Issues Inv Tst) finally change this for the better ? | coolen

20/7/2013 11:09 | Chamberlin plc - profit warning analysis | phoenix1234
19/7/2013 23:58 | Per previous post, do not overlook their continuing mishaps with Finance Directors. Best hope for a takeover is local, either by Castings (cash rich) or by Hill & Smith (who know Chamberlin well). | coolen
19/7/2013 15:47 | After profit warning, I believe broker forecasts for PTP have halved to £0.5m for year to 3/14. This equates to a P/E of around 16x - still too expensive imho , considering the company's poor track record. | the anteater
18/7/2013 21:07 | Bad day at the office by the looks of things. Ripe for a takeover?? | redartbmud
18/7/2013 12:32 | Just opened a short here. Looking for 50p in the next few months. | salpara111
18/7/2013 09:32 | All looking a bit grim here at the moment! | topvest |
