I got the purchase price wrong as well, I thought the CAP was already price in on this share when I bought the 2nd Tranche on the 4th. It would be nice to have that crystal ball !! Collect the div and just have to wait for this one to go back up a bit, picking a company at its lowest point is hard for the best of us. One thing I have learnt over the years is do not panic this is where a lot of money is lost. Was just looking at my records , I have made a touch under 22k after stoppages in the last year and 8 moths. Some people would say it's good other say it's poor at least I'm honest how i'm doing. Anybody making a lot more I say good luck to them

No need to panic, just another vote fishing bill which will accomplish nothing in the end. The loss will be offset by a rise in the cheaper rates.

banks like those in the eu bust and kept afloat by gov are trying to get holders to sell they always do but are buyers , its time the useless FCA took action on these scum , but the FCA are apart of the problem even their friends are in the no when to buy its a cesspit .

my advice is simple ignore the scum , and watch which posters are buying .
my avge 175p got my div now looking for back over 200p very quickly
and I added 33k at around 8.30am

Profits in what people would regard as public service companies (like energy) have been given a bad name partly by the press banging on about £millions profits, without any mention of what has been spent on infrastructure, which is eye-watering £.

How about retail price maintenance of Premier League tickets then ?
Clearly exploiting the working man's love for a sport.
I suppose they could switch to a local team to support.

Consumer protection law should get up with the modern age.
This haggle and barter tradition in some economies is just not the British way.

There used to be a thing called Retail Price Maintenance.
A bar of Cadbury chocolate or a bottle HP sauce was the same everywhere.
About time we had constant prices for identical goods and services from each supplier.
This would create real competition.

As Theresa May said, older people are not computer savvy and do not know how to switch.
With so many scams about they fear changing and with good reason.

It will happen, cross subsidies from one type of customer to the Del Boys this World should stop.
The financial crash was in part caused by mortgage companies issuing cheap sub prime loans at unsustainable rates. Then selling them on.

It is beginning to look as though the new capitalism will look like this going forward.

Almost anything can be had for a different price . Shopping on line for ,deals, haggling with a salesman etc etc
Its down to wether peeps can be bothered to do the extra work required to get the savings. Many can't and whinge that others have got a better deal. After all who stays with their existing insurance company on renewal . They'll drop their pants however when you present the lower quote obtained else where..
Customer loyalty is not rewarded with lower prices.
imho

Well said Careful. It is ridiculous that a Conservative govt privatises a company, then moans about how much they earn and try to control their profits. I am fed up with May's govt trying to appease Corbyn's army of naive student voters.

The OFGEM website gives all of the costs profit and numbers.
It needs to be studied.

Short of complaining that energy supplies are hopelessly inefficient, it could be argued that they are in fact doing a great job and offering value for money.

The problem is caused by these below cost deals offered to those who switch, subsidised by those that do not.
This annoys many.
All tariffs should be equal in my opinion.

Nothing bugs me more than when on holiday in a nice hotel I find out that the people on the next table paid far less than me because they got a last minute deal.
