This is the sort of play that Buffett would buy into. A meat and potatoes upstream and downstream oil/gas company with big exposure to the retail market.A household name down on its luck and a decimated share price.
Sentiment will change here at some point. Its just wether holders can weather the storm...
imho

Careful I was diversified but not now. If I like something I'll have a go. Hard to predict what will happen but I do think this looks overdone but who knows. It's a cash position and not a CFD so I can finance it myself.Only time will tell.gla

that is hell of a position Nortic.
£360k on CNA is a very big punt.

Do you focus on a small number of shares or are you diversified?
investment strategies interest me.
I consider about 8% of my portfolio in one share is about as large a position as I am prepared to take.

Video. Martin Lewis. Don't wait for price cap - at least one year before any sort of cap.

months to wait until feb when next results come out.
share price could be crushed even further by then.

but why no significant buying at these levels?
Probably money managers do not wish to be seen with struggling shares in their portfolios.

I bought a few more just minutes ago.
I answer to no one.
Do not have to explain to anyone why I reject current consensus wisdom.

If my cushy overpaid job as a money manager depended on it, I would not touch these.
I would probably be sacked if I did.
That is why it is easy to outperform the FTSE100 index.
