I can't see the Malta deal bringing any surprises - the amount is known and in fact the € weakness means it is worth less to us now. Personally I would like them to use some of the money to do a tender offer to take some or most of us out - at say £2.50+. Better for tax than dividend and I don't really want them just to plough it into more engineering firms or African or Maltese assets that we really don't understand. As you say not long to wait now

True,braham4,the deal is conditional on planning permission, but the completion date was indicated as being 30th March, so it is possible that permission has already been granted. Not quite sure why you are so cynical as to whether us shareholders will see the benefit of the cash payment. After all, you could argue that we have already seen some of the benefit, with the share price having increased significantly over the past six months as a result of this property deal ! As a matter of interest what exactly are you hoping for ? A special dividend, or some sort of corporate development ? Myself I favour the second option.

I thought Malta was virtually a done deal just waiting for the completion date which was conditional on planning permission. As we have not had any negative news I expect it to go ahead and that wil lincrease the company's NAV considerably? But will we see the benefit?

Appears to be a further arranged "put-thru", ie. a cross between related buyer and related seller at 202.25/202.5p. Bang in the middle of the spread.

Tricky to know what to read into these frequent crosses.

not much longer to go until March and the completion of the Malta deal when the company will be stuffed with cash. Hope the Bod have a plan for some of it to get this profitless company income producing and give some cash back to the long suffering shareholders or for g.......sake go private and let us all get out so that this concern can more freely operate as a private family company which it appears to be for some now.

harrogate - I suspect that braham4 probably does not own as many shares as he would have you believe. He certainly does not appear to have been in touch with ARDEN which would have been an obvious move if he really had a serious number to sell.

It is actually £5k worth of shares and the bid price hasn't moved and this was inside the spread. We understand what your view is - not sure with all due respect that repeating it constantly is that helpful.

share market £2,500 worth of shares sold and it drops almost 3%, think of
£20,000 worth? Until this company get going and is re-rated or taken private I doubt whether we will see either a profit or for some the investment returned. And what a spread!!!

But unless you only have a very small number of shares then you will never be able to sell this one when it is falling - you have to let the market have the stock when they want it. If it is a decent sized holding then you might even get a premium to the market price, as happened the other day when 15,000 shares were sold at well in excess of the official bid price - but try doing this when there are no buyers about and the price is falling and the market-makers will simply laugh at you.

braham4 - should also alert you to the fact that some bargains in this stock are being marked on PLUS and not showing up on ADVFN´s basic service. I note that you are not a paid up subscriber to ADVFN so it is possible that you are not seeing the full picture. There were small buys both today and yesterday marked on PLUS. Have you asked your broker to talk to ARDEN as suggested ?

I don't know how many you have but I suspect if you do want to sell now would be a good time with a buyer seemingly about. I would be amazed if in the run up to the Malta sale being confirmed and cash received that there isn't a chance to sell at above this current price.
