Evening bracke!
I've noticed you posting on the FX thread, so I know you're still about. The STX thread seems to have died off. Is Babywolf still OK?
I've been a bit quiet lately, as I'm busy elsewhere, but the last couple of weeks have been especially kind to me. Tweaked Monkeysoft so it can handle any of the FTSE 100 which I care to write in, so now just like setting up any of the Forex pairs which I normally trade. RIO works especially well. Can take a bigger position without too much worry if it doesn't go right straightaway.
Mrs.P sees the potential to make a lot of money, but then she doesn't know quite how ruthless the market can be.
This time next year Rodney........

Good day Penycae

I am not surprised about Mrs P's portfolio. She would have done well last year but this year the FTSE is not much above where it finished last year.

This year has been a trading year.

Afternoon all. Yep, if the top is not in, it's close enough.
Starting to short the highs on the DOW, and also some of the high betas. Doing alright. Increased the old trading pot X 8 on my spread bet account over the last three months.
Strangely enough, Mrs P's portfolio (buy and hold) not done as well. Looks like me and the monkey might have to cash in a few chips to fund this year's holiday.

Trade well and prosper Earthlings......

Just can't break out and smash through. I am worried this is the top. Sold out earlier today. Need to see evidence it can break higher

Some BoE Officials are suggesting that interest rates will have to commence rising sooner rather than later if small increments are to be used. Once that commences Sterling will increase in strength especially if Euro interest rates go negative.

I'm just started doing my UK tax return and my 4 BP divs for the last tax year are nearly 5% yield paid to me.(at my buy in price)

Can BP keep up these high divs or is this a bit of the TNK/BP proceeds that they haven't used for share buy back????????

I do not deny US hypocrisy. I was highlighting what was an admitted criminal act by CS.

I doubt CS would want to cease trading in the US they need the licence.

bracke, people do not have to accept advice. How much did the US pay for the Piper Alpha 167 deaths, was it? Bophal? I would have told them to stck their licence.

CS should consider themselves fortunate that their licence was not withdrawn.

They have admitted to a criminal act and now have a criminal conviction.

The USA again thieve massive sums from a bank, as they did and are doing to BP. Surprised CS didn't tell them to p off.

don't think so, market is starting a correction phase....already seeing some wild swings, look at the likes of EMG, EVR coming off their highs. I think the whole market (with some exceptions) is pretty bloated and a fall is due across the major indexes.
