Why is Jes Staley taking Barclays out of Asia?

Barclays' new investment banker boss is scaling back its investment bank.

"We’ll have to wait until Barclays’ full year results in March to figure out what Staley’s strategy really is. Indeed, these cuts could be more to do with immediate concerns over Asian equity markets than any long term desire to reshape the bank. For the time being, though, Staley appears to be following the strategy he inherited, albeit perhaps with slightly different tactics."

job cuts larger than expected, indicates new chief is on a serious cost cutting exercise to ensure robust profitability - at last some real action!

Looking to buy soon, this oil rout will turn up as fast as it turned down, which will drive market up.

i sold my home to my daughter for market price ,and pay a fair rent .
the house is now not mine . as for the tax man I have broke no rules ,
ever person over the age of 65 should sell and rent and spend the cash on having a great time spoiling the grand children and the family

they now do the repairs and I do nothing only keep it clean and tidy

has long as you sell at the market prices and you get the cash you have done nothing wrong all legal

do not let the tax man or the labour scum get your cash when you die spend it all

Reach for the door, open door, bail out the door. I said months and months ago that this would happen it was so obvious. My illuminati contact was so on the money !!! Soros just released a sound bite saying in the most sugar coated way that EU is doomed !!! Merkels Migrants, euro crisis, political upheaval and Greece just to start. Trade safe gentlemen we could be witnessing the perfect storm of the century about to unfold.
