17/3/2006 15:48 | Getting closer to the day when the first SEV vehicles will be available with ADC parts. Here is an article from a couple of weeks ago: - Azure to Provide Powertrain Technology for SEV EVs. From Electric and Hybrid Vehicles Today: March 2, 2005 issue Azure Dynamics recently announced it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Smiths Electric Vehicles (SEV), part of the U.K.-based Tanfield Group, to integrate Azure powertrain technology including inverters, traction motors and specialized auxiliaries for application in the electric vehicles SEV currently builds, as well as the next-generation design of the vehicles. According to Azure, the first vehicles featuring its technology will be available in May, with production units becoming available later in the year, while the next-generation vehicles, with "significantly higher performance parameters," should be available next year. "We are pleased with this MOU as SEV Group has over 70 years of experience designing, manufacturing and selling electric vehicles for a wide range of industrial and commercial applications," said Azure CEO Campbell Deacon. "These vehicles have proven to be very quiet, environmentally sound, economical and reliable." Contact: Steven Glaser, Azure, phone 416-367-0220 ext 105, e-mail sglaser@azuredynamic | howdlep

24/2/2006 14:36 | I am more than happy to see small daily tickups, as we await news of contract wins. Investors should keep watching developments with Tanfield (TAN). Norquip a division of Tanfield has a new website. It looks like Norquip has incorporated AZD's technology into its line vehicles. "We have now successfully integrated superior battery, power train and control systems into our entire product portfolio." JumboTugs "JUMBOTUGS has taken another step towards becoming the world's leading airport tow tractor manufacturer. The company, based in Stanley, County Durham, announced on November 24 that the first of its next generation, high performance, battery powered tow tractors will begin operational field trials on December 18. The vehicles are used in airports for pulling baggage trains and for light aircraft maintenance. Zero emission vehicles are increasingly in demand on airport aprons, as tighter legislation governing emissions is introduced. The new prototype Jumbotugs model boasts an increased duty cycle the amount of time between battery charges - and reduced charging times, both better than anything the present market can offer. Roy Stanley, chief executive of the Tanfield Group Plc, which owns Jumbotugs, said: "We have already had considerable interest in the new vehicles. "We are producing further vehicles for trial and sale in the North American and Asian markets in January." The Tanfield Group Plc bought Jumbotugs as part of its acquisition of SEV Group Ltd in October 2004. Mr Stanley said: "People are finally waking up to the fact that oil is not going to last much longer and that the polar ice caps are melting. "This is fuelling demand for zero emission vehicles all over the world. "We have spent the past 12 months acquiring and developing brands to create a total zero emission solution for commercial vehicles, and are now well positioned to meet that demand."" | howdlep
24/2/2006 14:12 | Despite tgw and his ramping, decided to dip a toe in - just 5/- to start, see how it goes. The B&C is happy. | fugu
24/2/2006 09:20 | nice tick up......remember no stock about......seller out of the way......chart broken out.....BIG.BIG news soon. | the great white
24/2/2006 08:39 | There had been a seller, although they have now been cleared. Hence the rise over the last few weeks. Infact I am expecting one or more holding RNS' indicating someone is building a stake, ahead of what I believe will be a continued share price rise, as we approach the intoduction of the new engine legislation in Q4. Today's IC article will be the first of many, as the company announce a number of contract wins in due course. | howdlep
23/2/2006 13:56 | howdlep - thanks for that. Has anyone any comments on the two (apparent) sales this morning? | fugu
23/2/2006 08:11 | Previous articles of interest: - A 25 minute presentation covering the target markets in the US and Europe, financial listings, shareholder base, cash position, vehicle types (electric, series systems and parallel hybrid) and why adoption will be driven by economics, via regulation and governmental incentives. (requires input of name and e-mail address) The UK/Italy info starts in the 13th minute. ------------- Private sector companies and public agencies launch Electric Mobility Canada and adopt an Action Plan that will help Canada meet its Kyoto objectives | howdlep
23/2/2006 08:07 | I am looking for short term resistance at 67p to be taken out in the next couple of trading sessions. Then I would expect a clear run up to the high 70's in due course, as more and more articles appear re the engine legislation that comes into force later this year. | howdlep
23/2/2006 06:04 | Morning all - just been alerted to this one by MW (often the kiss of death, I know) but very much like what I see. 'Er indoors is very into the green thingy and we've had the odd barney recently about my attachment to certain small oilers (no arguments about the profits, mind!) so I promised to look for something a little more eco-friendly: right on time, along comes the MW article. I've watched the share price debacle at TRK, and TDM was not one of my better investment decisions - at least not so far - so I guess I'm looking for a little re-assurance that a punt here would pay long-term dividends. Have DMOR but the personal angle still helps. TIA | fugu |
