18/4/2007 11:33 | Well, got a reply (which is nice, and professional). " Azure has approximately 118 employees worldwide, 60 are located in Canada and 50 in Boston. As announced back in June 2005 Azure has a supply agreement with Smith for up to 1,000 electric drive systems. As of today Azure has received purchase orders for approximately 30 systems. Insofar as Smiths relationship with Enova, it is difficult for me to comment on the accuracy of that claim." From the above statement lets assume there are 8 people engaged in worldwide sales/promotion/tech support or whatever.Predictably non commital on the SEV question but good to get a reply anyway. Not sure how many drivetrains they could produce per week/month with that level of staffing, perhaps someone else might email them,(the more interest from the U.K. the better.) | spekky
17/4/2007 07:25 | New appointment as CEO Looks like the right pedigree,WDIK.... Mr. Harrison stated, "I am very pleased to be joining the Azure Dynamics organization and to bring to it my years of experience in the automotive supply sector. It is now clear the world will be spending billions of dollars over the next decade on environmental solutions to global warming. It is very exciting to lead a company that, through its innovative hybrid technology, is well positioned to be part of the solution for the future." | spekky
16/4/2007 09:08 | I have just e-mailed the company with a request for some basic info. as follows: I was wondering if you could advise me how many employees Azure Dynamics currently has, and how many are based in Boston/Vancouver? (what is the split ? ).I live in the U.K. and have recently bought shares in Azure. Is your relationship with Smith Electric Vehicles still ongoing and productive for Azure ? I note that Enova Systems (CAL.USA) are claiming credit for the Smith-Newton vehicle. I'm not sure they'll give me a full answer (re S.E.V.) but hope that they will reply,I'll let you know. | spekky
15/4/2007 10:44 | Tanfield's Newton drive system is powered by a competitor of Azure's called Enova Systems. | chorister
14/4/2007 23:11 | Spekky, Agree with your points. With TAN there are still holders on the bb that held since the 20p days. You have to believe in the 'green' future and get aboard at these levels before the herd take notice. As for dual listing, ditto. I would advise you take a look at ENV, the driveline supplier to TAN (Newton). Another dual listed company. You see ZERO trades in the UK and it still rises 30p at time!!!!....the USA effect! | the_analyst
14/4/2007 20:01 | Yes it was Oct 2006,I like his analogy to the way mobile phone batteries got smaller and more powerful over a short timescale and his general put down of hydrogen technology.......... | spekky
14/4/2007 15:47 | spekky, Just did, great!...can U confirm it was from Oct 2006 ?. ps...am a holder and enthusiastic! Have been in TAN for a while and it has surpassed expectation and I sense ADC may well do the same. Regards T_A | the_analyst

11/4/2007 08:48 | Having learnt quite a bit about EVs/Hybrids (thanks to MTG et al),I have made a modest investment here, its early days for the whole "green transport" issue, but, green legislation coupled with the need to reduce oil dependency should lead this company in the right direction. is good for current U.S. news on the subject. OR if you want to get up to speed on the whole EV situation. | spekky
11/4/2007 08:39 | the key to a move up into the 40's will be a Rothschild inspired partnership/takeover announcement. Sooner or later they have to earn their fat commissions. In the meantime, I expect a few players to take positions, particularly as a long-time seller is out of the way. | howdlep

10/4/2007 17:41 | I think I mis-judged my entry point here. Currently averaged at @35p - good to see a strong rise today based on solid progress. To be honest I see these as a long hold so not really concerned but it would be nice to see the upward trend continue. | dunluce
10/4/2007 16:44 | Great rise today. Picked the bottom perfectly with that 190k sale that cleared the overhang. Plenty to come here, look at what TAN is doing. | pomp circumstance

10/4/2007 07:12 | Azure Dynamics signs supply agreement with Electro Autos of Mexico for 1,000 electric vehicle systems TORONTO, April 9 /CNW/ - Azure Dynamics Corporation (TSX: AZD & LSE: ADC) ("Azure" or the "Company") a leading developer of hybrid electric and electric powertrains for commercial vehicles, today announced it has signed a supply agreement with Electro Autos Eficaces of Mexico ("EAE"). The initial order is for 1,000 drive systems for integration into the Nissan Tsuru platform, which is commonly used in the municipal fleet of Mexico City. The Tsurus are being converted from gasoline powered vehicles to electric vehicles as part of Mexico City Mayor Marcelo Ebrard's initiative to improve air quality and general health and quality of life in the city. Mayor Ebrard will drive the first converted vehicle to the International Electric Vehicle Forum on May 8, 2007 in Mexico City. The balance of the 1,000 vehicles will be converted over the following 18 months. Azure's scope of supply for the 1,000 drive systems includes the motor, controller, gearbox and DC-DC converters and is valued at more than CDN$7.0 million. Campbell Deacon, Azure's CEO said, "We are very pleased to have our product chosen for this program. EAE's business has been established to deliver electric vehicle transportation to both the public and private sectors in Mexico City with a goal of expansion throughout all of Mexico. We believe our technology, cost competitiveness and reliability have factored into EAE's selection of Azure Dynamics for this program." EAE's Luis PĂ©rez Quintana stated, "Mexico City currently operates over 25,000 Nissan Tsurus to conduct government business throughout the city. Converting the first 1,000 Tsurus of the existing fleet into electric vehicles, shows the City's commitment to providing an immediate response to the Climate Change challenge. Mexico City is the third largest city in the world with a population of approximately 25 million people. The newly elected mayor, Marcelo Ebrard, has set a Sustainable City criteria for his tenure, making the environment and clean transportation a major part of his governing platform."
