14/4/2009 09:14 | Monday, April 13, 2009 $85 mn US to cut school bus Particulate Emissions (Leg. & Reg., Funding) The Obama Administration is spending $85 million to help states retrofit diesel school buses with particulate filters. Each state will receive $1.7 million to install devices on its school bus fleets, and over the course of the program, it's expected to cut particulate emissions from each bus by 1.5 tons. "The state and its school children thank the Obama Administration for sending this funding our way to clean up older, dirty diesel school buses," said California Air Resources Board Chairman Mary Nichols. "We are fast tracking this process so that within just a few short weeks this money will allow mechanics to install particulate filters on buses at dozens of school districts throughout the state, providing jobs and protecting children's lungs at the same time." 22/8/2008 19:11 | Taking the previous close of 7.5p gives current mkt cap of circa £15m. they raise about £12.5 million though the issue giving circa £27.5mill. Now divide that by c300 mill shares gives about 9p....somebody argue my math please. You only gain if you bought at 7.5p,whether they can shift it at above the current share price is doubtful at best.Perhaps I've missed something, happy to be wrong. | spekky | |
