Can you bulls (you can play to dice1950 - if you have time left after ramping all the message boards)explain why any company would bid 140p when they can buy from bondholders for a fraction and take equity holders out?I suspect non of you can.

AVN have very limited revenues And have DEBTS in excess of $600million.They have already stated that shareholders will be left with very little due to the extremely high levels of debt which they are unable to service with their very small revenues...

Try again wurzel - AVN hardly generates cash for its growing interest payments on its huge and growing debt mountain. Have you accounted for the creative accounting under investigation? No of course not. By the way, the bidder (if there ever was a bid tabled) is locked out now. And in any event, the bid will almost certainly take in to account DD and if sane, wait for the conclusion of accounts investigation currently underway.

Typical AVN ramp and now we see the retracement, oh so typical. As for bear poo, pooing....lol, all the way down from 190p. Late comers to the party make exit, but most have been here a while now and have seen all this ramp before.

Yes elrico, I can do basic maths. bond refinancing could allow 25m/year repayments however revenues circa 50m/year, combined with Inmarsat operational synergies of the space operations/sales saving around 2m/year make this a compelling target at 200m for them. And that's not even counting forward revenues from Hylas 4's colossal 28 gigabits of bandwidth.
