I note on the IG site the Brokers ratings for Provident are :-
Strong buy 3.
Buy 5.
Hold 4.
Sell 0.
Strong sell 2.
.
2 out of 14 not a bad average and you call me a carpetbagger.

Because you don't have a crystal ball (as far as I know). The market is 'Trump Driven' and trying to front run Trump is almost impossible. Currently the market thinks it may not get the 'goodies' Trump promised. It only needs him to announce tax cuts or similar and up flies the market.

The consideration for buyers is buy at 1550 support or expectation of 1500.

A good thing I had almost forgotten about spread betting is, you are paid the divi when the share go's Ex.
Share price is recovering well ? I hope.

Good day fenners

I am sure you can decipher it yourself but:

1 The share price is in a horizontal channel also known as rectangle top or rectangle bottom between the pink and brown horizontal lines. This one is more top then bottom. B/out could be either way.

2 Within the channel which commenced March/April I have initially drawn a green PF off the three pivots the ML of which was hit. The share price then started to drop and I have drawn the red PF off green pivots 2 & 3 and new pivot. There is an 80% probability that the red ML will be reached.

I note 1550 was reached today and so far supported.

I presume uppompeii is looking to pick his bottom lower still.

What do you consider to be a "suitable entry point"?

If 1580 hasn't floated your boat I presume you are looking for 1540/1550 which according to my superb Elite Guru charting skills is a fair probability.....surely not lower!!

If the SMA 50 crosses above the SMA 100 it is a Golden Cross and considered a bullish move. I don't pay much attention to such crosses as they lag the price action. The reaction of the share price to the SMA 200 is one I watch and also the distance it moves above or below it.
