There will be ups and downs but still undervalued. I said on a post beginning June that I fell salinbas results would get investors/speculators interest and take us towards 3p. Think the POG has helped in this prediction so poss up to 3.5p with a tailwind. But who knows??

I know what you mean Charles. There are many occasions when we think 'If only I had sold out x months ago when I had the chance'. We've all done it (many times). Trouble is that most of us have at times grabbed at profits while holding on to the dogs - only to see the ones we sold continue to rise and the doss continue to sink!! I would consider giving my shareholding a bt of a haircut, but not just yet. The substantial bid/offer spread is one thing that puts me off, plus whether POG as well as AAU is having a bit of a breakout. As I mentioned the other day I think the company might be reaching a greater audience now, so potential new investors may be researching the company at this very minute and maybe buying next week.

Hi Biggles. Quarterly update? You mean Red Rabbit production? The quarter isn't over yet so probably not for a good 3 weeks I don't think. I see your logic re JV divi, wont distribute equally to JV partners but use it to pay c£3m to AAU for Kizilcukur. You may be right, cant see them trial processing at the Kiziltepe plant until the basis for inclusion in the JV is finalised. Any feeling for how the share price will progress in the next week? The shareholder update on Thursday may help.

JD - we must all do what our conscience tells us but personally speaking I haven't been accumulating patiently for years for this moment just to sell on a 20% rise. I have a good idea what this could be worth and I'm in it for a great deal more than that!

Should be quarterly update this week and salinbas next hopefully. They should be getting a div from JV soon too unless they are holding back for kizilchuk deal.

Hi Charles
We don't know that, and people who have ended up with far more shares than they ever intended to (me for instance) may be tempted to trim back their holdings. With a relative lack of company information over the next 2-3 weeks, after which we assume (I use the word assume intentionally) good Salinbas drill results will be released, we could suffer a drift back as has happened so many times before. Personally I hope that POG (and POS) will show some strength to support or grow the share price from the current level.

Some - unlike us, he has an audience and cant afford to be seen just holding. Poor boy will regret selling imho.

Good AAU update ShareProphets yesterday. Article concludes with...

"...As a long-term believer in Ariana this is a delightful situation, but business is business! Once again Ariana now forms too large a part of my portfolio and I want to spread the risk. And we have enjoyed quite a ride from as low at 1.1p, so I suggest taking a small slice out at 2.5p to lock in a few more profits. I hope there will be plenty more to come so I still plan to hold the vast majority of my current holding, but it seems common sense to me to take a little cash off the table.

As for what may come, Jordan Roy-Byrne was talking about gold heading for $1700 – and possibly far higher. But we don’t have a crystal ball, so let’s enjoy a slice of profits, whilst holding the majority of the shares strongly.

Meanwhile, I move my target price to 3p – and possibly plenty more if the Salinbas drilling results show promise."

Wow, what a week! With this touching 2.5p, gold almost $1400 and Bitcoin well over $10k it's beginning to look like the contrarians are winning.

Word will certainly be spreading across the area, especially if there's the sniff of a possible rival to Hot Maden.

I could be wrong i think from memory someone said that Kerim partily wanted to do a share buyback scheme to help cash strapped employees who wanted to sell a few shares avoid trading costs and be given a fair share price
My personnal opinion is that it is most likely wealthy Turks who are aware of what is occurring in the gold market and looking for somewhere to invest some of their turkish lira and wish to invest in a local gold mine. They might have some local knowledge of the history of the area, or picked up on the high company confidence gleaned from staff/relatives of what is occurring in AAU, or indeed know Kerim and are inpressed by his demeanour.
If i had a local gold mine i would certainly be looking to invest if i felt it was a interesting investment.
If you want to know what is occurring in any given vicinity you talk to the locals

It's great for employees to hold shares too. More skin in the game and they also benefit from the fruits of their labour. Win - win.
