30/11/2012 15:46 | Divi cheques on the doormat early next week ... | ignoble
27/11/2012 15:58 | Sounds good to me ! | ignoble
27/11/2012 15:53 | Actually I don't mind as it gives me time to buy more without the price reflecting what has been happening. | keithfox
27/11/2012 14:00 | Tks Keith Does test the patience at times .... | ignoble
27/11/2012 13:48 | One interesting thing I've noticed about this share is that it never reacts to helpful weather conditions. In the past we've had really hot summers which add millions to profits or cold spells in winter which also add hundreds of thousands to profits. The flooding thats going on at present is obviously doing asy no end of good and the predicted cold spell will help a lot too. No reaction in the share price though. The thing to look out for now is whether the cold spell will last until Xmas. There is normally a 2 week spell over xams when little happens. If asy get a lot of gear out before the Xmas break that adds another 2 weeks of good business to them at a time when not much happens normally. | keithfox
23/11/2012 16:08 | Interesting read on the ASY website blog regarding their pumps being utilised on the Great Western Canal | ignoble
22/11/2012 15:26 | Tks Keith ....as always | ignoble
22/11/2012 11:49 | You've no doubt seen news of floods etc. The charts for the next 5 or 6 days are as bad as I've seen in 40 years as a weather forecaster re potential for a lot of rain. Expect a lot more flooding in the next week and no doubt good trade for asy. Colder weather expected after that which could turn quite wintry, again good news for asy. | keithfox
13/11/2012 17:36 | Sykes Blog refers to the new XBox & PS3 FIFA 2013 game ... Charlton FC are one of the teams available and are wearing the Andrews Sykes logo on their shirts ! | ignoble
08/11/2012 16:36 | 29p from LSC ! | ignoble
08/11/2012 15:37 | Mind you they added up to less % than asy's. | keithfox
08/11/2012 13:51 | I noticed London Security got another dividend recently. Thats 2 they've declared in 6 months. Not fair! Unless we get another one next spring. | keithfox
01/11/2012 07:21 | Just out of interest the middle east section has put a load of blogs on its site (10/10/12). | keithfox
01/11/2012 07:17 | Won't make much difference to ASY but Aggreko should do some mega trade with their generators and it will go on long enough for them to bring some in from abroad. Their last results were down a bit but this should get them going again. | keithfox
31/10/2012 18:36 | Interesting read and pictures on the ASY website Blog thingy... Official opening of the new Ckarlton Depot with lots of photo's of the facility. Gives an insight into the company's activities and products. | ignoble
30/10/2012 16:12 | Wonder if all the awful flooding in the US could be of benefit to AmeriPumps which I believe is Sykes' US Division. One based in Virginia and the other Tennesee if I understand it correctly We never seem to hear mention of the US Division for whatever reason. (DYOR etc & no advice intended etc) | ignoble
30/10/2012 15:30 | Aye , better than the Building Society ... I never expect anything , that way I am never disappointed ! When the divi comes along , always a nice surprise and pays for the Christmas Turkey | ignoble
30/10/2012 11:22 | it's a 6.47% increase on last years payment, which I'm happy with. We might see some bigger payments once they've paid off the £8 million on the loan. | adeg
30/10/2012 10:09 | My wife has just written off her car so was a bit busy! 7.1 is OK and it'll hardly impact on the cash pile so plenty of scope for more in the near future. | keithfox
30/10/2012 10:09 | Disappointed with the size of the dividend. Obviously have the capacity to pay out much more. Guess it will all come back to us in the end. Happy to just carry on holding. | horndean eagle
30/10/2012 08:41 | Yes I also thought we may make double figures. Certainly in 2008 there were payouts declared in consecutive months so you never quite know what's coming (or when) :-) | cockerhoop
30/10/2012 08:27 | Well that explains why ignoble ,keithfox and other regulars aren't aware yet. 7.1p not bad but 10p + would have been nice. 3.5% still beats the banks i suppose. | battlebus2 |
