31/10/2015 00:37 | Most of the commentary I've seen so far has been about removing roadblocks from the LNG project but this one specifically mentions electricity generation... which is good. “What is going to happen immediately is to remove all the impediments that have been stopping the gas development like land and location issues, so that the companies are given an opportunity to make the final investment decision,” Makamba, who is also Tanzania’s deputy communication minister, said in an interview in Dar es Salaam. “This nation has an opportunity to prosper from gas, and Magufuli intends to use it for revenue but also to boost electricity generation by at least 3,000 megawatts in five years.” | bunbooster2
30/10/2015 18:42 | Dar es Salaam. Dr John Magufuli has officially received the General Election winner's certificate for the presidency at an early morning ceremony in Dar es Salaam. NEC Chairman Judge Damian Lubuva handed the certificate to Dr Magufuli and his running mate Ms Samia Suluhu Hassan who is destined to be the first woman vice president in Tanzania. The ceremony was attended by top Government leaders led by President Jakaya Kikwete, Prime Minister Mizengo Pinda and scores of foreign dignitaries, including the Common Wealth election observer team leader and former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan as well as Armando Guebuza of Mozambique. The main opposition challenger for the race Mr Edward Lowassa who has disputed the election outcome did not attend the function but other smaller candidates were in attendance Magufuli won the tight race with 8.8 million votes, beating his closest rival with a margin of 2.8 million votes. Speaking on behalf of the opposition, Anna Mghwira of ACT-Wazalendo accepted the victory of Dr Magufuli and challenged him to implement the ‘change’ which was used by political parties during the campaign. “I beg the president-elect to implement ‘change’ which is the desire of all Tanzanians. The first change is to bring us a new constitution which will be the product of the people’s opinions and other significant changes will follow,” said Mghwira. According to Mghwira, Dk Magufuli has to strengthen national unity, to promote gender-equality, and to improve the economy and fight poverty. | dfgo

30/10/2015 13:14 | blackgold Thanks, I'm learning about conjecture, news, old news, and inaccuracy dressed up as news. Enough to make one quite cynical. | lfdkmp
30/10/2015 12:58 | Dan_the_Epic "Sorry I forgot the crucial bit." "When completed, the field is expected to be capable of filling the existing Songas infrastructure to capacity." Not even any room for AEX Dan, that is the old existing gas processing plant and pipe-line which has a capacity of 102mmcfd, not to be confused with the new processing plant that has a capacity of 140mmcfd which also, feeds the new national natural gas infrastructure, so loads of capacity for Aminex. Also note, Orca's/Songo Songo gas have not been tied into the new gas processing plant nor has Orca been contracted to sale gas into the new National Natural Gas Infrastructure Project ("NNGIP") from your link "When completed, the field is expected to be capable of both filling the existing Songas infrastructure to capacity of approximately 102 MMscfd, as well as providing additional gas volumes to the newly commissioned National Natural Gas Infrastructure Project ("NNGIP") as and when contracted." | blackgold00
30/10/2015 11:46 | Dan How's your short on Panr going. Burning burning burned. Lol Dan_the_Epic 29 Oct'15 - 10:35 - 4559 of 4683 0 2 Opened up a hefty short position here this morning at 60p. Way overvalued imo and I am targeting 35p to 40p within 9 months. GL | rich2006
30/10/2015 11:28 | That is very cynical of you. I only post news, not conjecture. I doubt that the opposition will go peacefully. They have already rejected the result as not being free or fair. | dan_the_epic
30/10/2015 11:19 | Ah, it would appear that our resident shorter has shifted his concern from the outcome of the election to over-stuffed pipes. Paul Daniels would be proud of such sleight of hand. Tick tock. :-) | lfdkmp
30/10/2015 10:04 | Sorry I forgot the crucial bit. "When completed, the field is expected to be capable of filling the existing Songas infrastructure to capacity." Not even any room for AEX | dan_the_epic
30/10/2015 10:00 | Just when I was sat here thinking it couldnt get worse for Aminex... Then Orca gets massive support to more than double supply. Gas shortage anyone? Not any longer. This is another nail in the Aminex coffin as well as that shockingly bad ramp attempt "Aminex hopes to get GSA within 10 days". tick tock. | dan_the_epic

29/10/2015 15:43 | HaiderAliFool yes, its quite ironic really to think Aminex has been one of the more stable investments the past year, compared to many other's in the oil and gas sector. | blackgold00
