29/10/2015 12:56 | well it looks like the former energy and minerals minister George Simbachawene has kept his seat. 144 George Simbachawene Kibakwe CCM | blackgold00
29/10/2015 12:01 | For all those waiting "imminently" for their signed GSA, one nasty thought. Who signs on behalf of the Tanzanian Government? If it's the Minister of Energy, there isn't one and won't be one until the new government is formed, and if there's a new guy then he might well wish to acquaint himself before sticking his moniker on it. Greyingsurfer chickened out, so anyone else offering odds on 2016? | warbaby43
29/10/2015 11:35 | 7 minuets ago 2015 POLLS UPDATE: NEC finalizes announcement of presidential results for 264 constituencies Thursday noon. To announce the winner later today. | blackgold00
29/10/2015 11:15 | Always looking for the positive, though, is our Henry: Meanwhile, more on elections Zanzibar style: Many now in and, for those interested, here are results so far: | warbaby43
29/10/2015 10:47 | You're not kidding, matey! And for getting GSAs, Tanzania ranked 189th | warbaby43
29/10/2015 10:32 | Even the EU saying the voting was rigged. All eyes off signing a GSA with a tiny company for the foreseeable IMO. | dan_the_epic
29/10/2015 08:31 | Well i thought holding over the weekend was mad enough, but you would have to be completely bonkers to want to hold this now. Surprising? No. Worrying? It should be when at least 40% of your voting population supports CHADEMA and when over half of the actual population is youths For transparency I have increased my short (with great difficulty) by 30%. | dan_the_epic
29/10/2015 07:56 | Worrying news about Zanzibar. | bunbooster2
28/10/2015 17:27 | Oh dear, despite being comfortably ahead on the mainland, could the CCM actually be losing in Zanzibar: Meanwhile, a bit of a rehearsal for when the results are formally announced and demands for recounts and investigations begin: | warbaby43
28/10/2015 17:21 | what is :-// meant to express PJ? | blackgold00
28/10/2015 17:07 | 2 working days until the end of the month and the long awaited GSA Did Jay say which Month? :-// | pj 1
27/10/2015 14:09 | up dated results, at the bottom of page | blackgold00
26/10/2015 20:04 | Don't mean to discuss WRL on this Board, but they have an updated Corporate Presentation out today. From Q4 (ie, now) they're generating USD3.5m Cash Flow per month, or USD42m p.a. Now. With a GSA in place. That means with a market cap of USD82m, they're trading at only 2x 2016 CF. That pitifully low valuation really concerns me, and could foreshadow AEX, even when we are flowing. It's just a cold industry right now. | vike1
26/10/2015 19:55 | Results should be known by Thursday but already statements of electoral fixing doing the rounds and signs of early violence. In other news, natural gas is hitting multi year lows down 10% today and is now down to just $2 / mcf compared to $3 / mcf late last year. I wonder if the Tanzanian government are still keen to sign to up a $3 / mcf rate. Some countries already looking to renegotiate contracts lower. Share price weakness a reflection of all this uncertainty. Thats for sure. | dan_the_epic
26/10/2015 13:45 | Tanzania decides! | bunbooster2
26/10/2015 13:39 | The result was never in doubt. 98% majority. This is Africa remember, the incumbent always wins unless there is a coup | ngms27 |
