16/11/2015 17:16 | With regard to LNG, herewith Ophir's presentation from last week on its West African Floating LNG project (doesn't seem to have done owt for its share price though.). A lot of it is pretty technical stuff but there are some mentions of Tanzania in some of the comparisons and the relatively small scale and cost compared with the $30bn+ mentioned for offshore Tanzania might give some food for thought This is the FLNG company whose rationale is "In an era of intense competition in the LNG industry and the high cost and long lead time of land based LNG facilities, Golar LNG Limited believes highly cost efficient approaches based on floating LNG liquefaction, storage and offtake, shipping and regasification facilities of the types now being developed by the company will be key to substantial additional growth opportunities" hxxp://www.golarlng. For us lot though at present, let's just hope they've cobbled enough funding together to re-complete N-1 and drill at least N-2. Bad news if they haven't. | warbaby43 | |
