26/4/2024 00:09 | Are we still having a party on Lostabillions boat at £1 or has he lost said craft on AVCT | the bull
25/4/2024 22:47 | Thanks xow98. So Colin highlighted what Bloomberg said, "BHP Bid for Anglo American Set to Unleash Wave of Mining M&A" Does the pi who voted my post down know something I don't about the BHP JV that failed if so please post what you know. The last I heard was in a webcast Colin & Leon answering a question about recovering the money BHP owes Jubilee, I'm sure they said they would not let BHP get away with not paying and they are getting their lawyers to recover the money but never heard anything about it again bar for someone I think a couple years later said Jubilee wrote it off in the accounts. So I can only presume their lawyers said it would be too costly to take on BHP in court. | freedom97
25/4/2024 22:03 | For all you CB lovers: | xow98
25/4/2024 16:30 | A lot of minnows selling but I would have thought that someone else buying by the million should tell them something! | pshevlin
25/4/2024 14:55 | Sorry h095117038, for some odd reason I didn't see the other posts. BHP still owe JLP about $11m? from years ago when they pulled out of a JV. I think Jubilee wrote it off in the accounts a few years later but might be wrong. | freedom97
25/4/2024 14:17 | FREEDOM..yes I did, that's why I apologised to FROG and said I'd got a bit excited whilst typing as the acquisition seemed to aimed at getting at there copper... | h095117038
25/4/2024 14:16 | FREEDOM97...yes I did get it the wrong way around and that's why I apologised to FROG...as I said I got ABIT over excited with the reasons cited by for the deal being gaining access to copper Sorry for creating any confusion, not that it's altered anything here😂㊃ Post 58853 | h095117038
25/4/2024 13:15 | Now and then I look for an opportunity to buy back in at 5.75-6p . | baldrick1
25/4/2024 12:56 | Copper chart edging higher: $4.56/lb now. That's only about 7% or so away from its highest ever price. | wet your knot
25/4/2024 12:46 | Anglo currently up 13.22% was higher before. | freedom97
25/4/2024 12:41 | h095117038, I think you have misread, it's the other way round: From Alliance News: "Anglo American earlier on Thursday said it was reviewing a takeover tilt from BHP, which now has until May 22 to make a firm offer for Anglo American." Note the word 'from' | freedom97
25/4/2024 09:15 | Considering BHP has a market cap of £115Bn and Anglo £33Bn I think we can work out which way round the deal would be. | chozza
25/4/2024 08:56 | HULK SMASH! | collg

25/4/2024 07:28 | Time for Leon to start delivering on Copper! | goingforarun
25/4/2024 07:01 | In the last quarterly production figures the only metal that AAL increased production of was copper. By 11%. 20kt increase over the quarter YoY. | wet your knot
25/4/2024 06:58 | CHRISTOPHER LAFEMINA, ANALYST JEFFRIES "Based on our analysis, Anglo would be a good strategic fit for BHP or another major miner due to potential synergies, asset quality, and commodity exposure (especially copper). Our analysis indicates that Anglo consists of an undervalued portfolio of multiple tier-1 assets, several of which are in relatively low-risk jurisdictions (Chile, Peru, Australia, Brazil). There is a scarcity value to tier-1 mining assets that is not reflected in equity valuations. Hence, Anglo could be a compelling fit." | wet your knot
25/4/2024 06:43 | I meant peanuts in comparison to the money they have available for acquisitions,20p would be nice but I'd rather hold out for 18 months for much more 🚀 | h095117038
25/4/2024 06:32 | Not for peanuts, that would be difficult. But a bid of 20p might get some interest. I'd be tempted. 6 months ago I'd have taken 15! | frogkid
25/4/2024 06:30 | Sorry that's right,I got a bit excited about about the copper interest and the fact that takeovers are now starting, surely Jubilee have to be a target, could be taken out for peanuts. | h095117038
