18/4/2024 10:05 | CEOs are necessarily optimists. A pessimist would simply not have the fortitude to battle through all the unforeseeable upsets that real life presents to companies. If a company hits its targets, the CEO is celebrated for his vision. If progress is slower than planned, he is slammed it. | meanreverter
18/4/2024 10:02 | Zak Mir comment: The main reasons for the relative underperformance of JLP in the near term have been the ongoing lack of understanding in the market of the merits of metals processing, the company perhaps over egging its difficulties, and the growing pains of a sprawling business. One can sense though that this negative period for the shares is finally at an end | 21ant
18/4/2024 09:55 | I dont really need your financial advice thanks sb. I have done OK for myself. | frogkid
18/4/2024 09:49 | Updated WHI report..... still see fair value at 11p at the moment. Quote: "That said, in the quarter Jubilee inked the contract with IRH (Abu Dhabi based) to develop the ‘waste rock’ project. This ground-breaking project should see the JV (30% Jubilee) process 2.4Mt/yr to produce ~20kt of copper within 2 years from four modules processing a part of the 260Mt of copper-bearing material at surface identified." "Current chrome pricing is $350/t for 40-42% SA chrome, higher than the $285/t price we forecast for the FY. At these prices, if they hold, Jubilee could be making ~$100/t profit margin on each tonne of it’s own ROM – which at 2.1Mt/yr production with ~40% of production not fixed margin could be in the region of ~$80m/yr. In our model we have chrome prices falling to a lower long-term average of $250/t by 2026 with Jubilee making a ~$35m/yr, but the upside is clearly there for chrome to make a substantial impact." | sb
18/4/2024 09:33 | Seems to have quietened down the worriers this a.m. Either that or Ade's prescribed them tranquilizers. The small correction might prove to be a good thing. | pshevlin
18/4/2024 09:25 | Thanks guys, good talk from Leon it's all frustrating but just a hiccup in the grand scheme of things | the_isolator
18/4/2024 09:25 | Sorry philby1 we must have posted that at the same time. He sounded confident as always. Rightly proud of the SA Chrome business. He seems to be playing the potential copper numbers over the next 2 years down a fair bit but that's not a bad thing given the current situation. Still hopeful of a full recovery in the share price today. It's not one to be out of regardless of the further delay at Roan | 21ant
18/4/2024 09:22 | Thanks... sb... | danieldanrichardson
18/4/2024 09:19 | Would be nice to get some @5.75-6p before 2nd quarter update in June. | baldrick1
18/4/2024 09:18 | Leon on the frustrating Roan logistical issue - 'not a particularly large challenge'. | philby1
18/4/2024 09:00 | Lets see what Leon says: | philby1
18/4/2024 08:56 | I think the mms havent raked off as may punters as they woulld have wished to do today. I'm sure they need more stock for some of the big players. | pshevlin
18/4/2024 08:55 | I have just added this morning on this pull back. The significant transformation of the company is well underway with chrome production going great guns.Roan is delayed until the end of May, but further increased production is coming soon. Just to keep progress in perspective, I just keep looking back at YTD 24 v 23 copper tonnes figures which indicates production up by 68.5%. Just being patient here, I believe the share price will re-rate accordingly. | tonytyke2
18/4/2024 08:46 | I don't think Leon knew when he said that froggers. Why would he knowing the problems that would cause down the line? He's not an idiot. If they have been let down by a supplier or a transporter it's not their fault. | pshevlin
18/4/2024 08:44 | A few million too many, perhaps....?? You are like a reed in the wind..... | sb
18/4/2024 08:42 | Or blinkered. I've spent time in Southern Africa, done business there. Don't promise what you cannot deliver. Leon must know that, he's from there! | frogkid
18/4/2024 08:41 | Of course people are disappointed froggers. I am but that has to be tempered by the reasons for the delay. It's not the best day at the office but over the next year or two it probably won't make the slightest difference. The figures I want to see are at the end of the next quarter. We need a good financial base to build the share price on. | pshevlin
18/4/2024 08:41 | "Small" delay, wasn't Roan supposed to be completed and producing at capacity in April 2023 !! Or did I misinterpret what Leon said - LOL. Hopefully the May deadline is gold plated or is that only a "guideline" ?? What a saga,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Don't see Leon doing too many more interviews in the next few weeks - he won't have the time. tintin | 9tintin
18/4/2024 08:40 | Where's deme1? I want to know what he makes of all this. | danieldanrichardson
18/4/2024 08:38 | Or pragmatic... a useful characteristic when investing in Africa..... | sb
18/4/2024 08:36 | Any shareholder that is not disappointed with this update is either mental, delusional, living in a different universe, or has rose coloured contact lenses on as well as rose coloured specs. Who can honestly say they think it is great? | frogkid
18/4/2024 08:36 | it's hard to recall a rns which didn't contain a disappointment. some £ would be nice to see. | adejuk |
