04/10/2018 08:24 | Vernalis (UK): Constituent Deletion Changes in FTSE UK Index Series 03 October 2018 A sad ending for this biotech. | bountyhunter
02/10/2018 16:20 | so when do share holders get paid 6.2p if they are still holding, when it delists off aim, does the crest account get credited with 6.2p per share or do you have to sell out before the aim delisting | twodegrees
29/8/2018 09:57 | BHF entering the field of combat? | fhmktg
20/8/2018 12:19 | 2086/7 I feel exactly the same; it's a great shame that this company has spiralled downhill to a fire sale ending. | bountyhunter
20/8/2018 11:34 | I completely agree. It would be interesting to work out how much Garland got paid over the last 3 or 4 years whilst overseeing complete failure. Nice work if you can get it. For us lesser mortals, we get sacked if we don't perform...... | nobbygnome
20/8/2018 10:54 | A sorry end to a sorry company. A pity about all the people (except the exec) who will inevitably lose their jobs due to these incompetents. | romeike
15/8/2018 08:57 | Any chance of someone else coming in...?? | chrisdgb
14/8/2018 11:19 | Can anyone please confirm when is this deal expected to go through and the timeline in which the shareholders will be paid. Thanks | thinkpad1
12/8/2018 12:10 | I have just read the acquisition RNS in its entirety. The statement from Fellner must have been written through gritted teeth (if that is possible😜) because he has been involved for many years and essentially this ranks as a big failure on his part. If you think back to the days of Frova, since then what a disaster it has all been. Shambolic management.....yet they have taken their fat salaries for many years. There is absolutely no accountability.... | nobbygnome
10/8/2018 10:01 | Thanks Greedfear. I run on the assumption that this deal was made public after taking the major stakeholders into confidence. Wonder what would it take to disrupt it | thinkpad1
10/8/2018 09:58 | Ligand is the only true winner here. Paying next to nothing for ver's portfolio. | greedfear
10/8/2018 09:53 | Besides that if for some odd reason this deal would not get through I don't think a better deal is likely. Too much support to expect a bidding war too. So little to gain to hold onto. | greedfear
10/8/2018 09:48 | Opportunity losses? | greedfear
10/8/2018 09:45 | Quick question to all. If the shareholders would be paid 6.20 why is the world selling at 6.0 ? Thank you | thinkpad1
10/8/2018 08:11 | I am pleased to say I made money! Thanks timbo! Nobby | nobbygnome
09/8/2018 18:27 | Amazed to see the ceo as a contact point. One might have thought he would want to hide under a stone. | meijiman
09/8/2018 18:18 | Indeed a good deal what a demise of British Biotech.. lost a lot of money on this one...hey ho | 999rp
09/8/2018 18:12 | Cash at end of June @27Million. which means 32M values all IP only at 5 million. Disappointing indeed. Good deal for Ligand. | compoundinge
09/8/2018 17:06 | "this company is being sold cheap!" - some people just don't get it - it is not being sold cheap - at 6.2p Ligand are paying about 2p/share "sympathy money". They could have got away with less if they'd really wanted to push it. It is very clear that there was no one else interested in buying the whole company and folks on here talking about 12p+ valuations and such were deluding themselves. | romeike
09/8/2018 15:40 | "-- Commenting on the Acquisition, Dr. Peter Fellner, Chairman of Vernalis, said: "On behalf of the Board, following the formal sale process that the business initiated in March this year, I am pleased to recommend the acquisition of Vernalis by the Ligand Group to all Vernalis Shareholders. The Board was pleased with the interest the Company received as part of the formal sale process and believes the cash offer from the Ligand Group represents the best value for all Vernalis shareholders." Yes sure, "pleased", "best value" for anyone that bought right at the bottom! Anyway this was inevitable a while ago which is why I got out then but should have done so much sooner. | bountyhunter
09/8/2018 14:48 | It's a help! It will cut my losses to about £11,800. | kenbachelor
09/8/2018 14:34 | any chance of 2nd bidder coming in.... this company is being sold cheap! | jayj4u
