Russian natural gas prices are at their highest in 5 years. Zoltav has got to be a takeover target, given its low market capitalization (IMHO)

The Annual Report (along with the additional finance from Abramovich) seems to have really turned things around here.

But if the above statement is right, imagine only 300m barrels of recoverable oil at today’s price of $75 and put a high cost of extraction of let’s say $35 per barrel, it still leaves a reasonable profit which could translate in a market cap of…..have a guess? Well, time will tell…

The market does not seem to give much value to these assets yet. Hence the price of the stock, but one day it might. Then the price should be £3 and not 30p. Hopefully

Re Oil. On 23 June I posted the following:

Some six years ago, after the estimate of Zoltav's oil reserves was increased, the chairman at the time made the following comment

"The interpretation of 3D seismic data from last year's programme has enabled the Company to re-map the reservoir distribution of the Koltogor oil field which we now understand to be a significantly bigger asset. With over a billion barrels of Russian standard reserves, the Koltogor licences contain the largest undeveloped oil discovery in the prolific Western Siberian oil province of Khantiy-Mansisk."

Good points P3. Some years ago ZOL was valued at £700m on some report which could be found on their website. Today the market value ZOL at around £40m…. And as you point out oil and gas prices at their highest for sometime and likely to mover higher!
