the book of wisdom: A much higher share price for instance T34....
paperclip3: A bit strange Book, I admit. Could be the MMs making a determined effort to get the price down. I can't help but think that the share price bottomed out yesterday; but who knows.
paperclip3: One could also look at it the other way. Perhaps there is a distressed seller in the market and a number of MMs are aware of this. Normally this would drive the share price down by say 25%. However there are canny buyers at this level willing to take advantage of the situation. Thus the price doesn't fall. Just a way of looking at it.
paperclip3: Good volume again today, and the share price a little higher
paperclip3: I guess that part of the problem for "regular" shareholders is that the main shareholders, who own about 90% of the company, are probably indifferent to the share price. They know exactly what is going on in the company, and they are not shareholders simply for the good of their health. I'm inclined to the view that at some point, soon I hope, there will be a big, positive and value generating statement issued. I want to be on board when that happens.
bernieboy: The potential is here without a doubt, but any attempts to increase the share price from the company aren't. Let's be frank, they haven't since we changed from Crosby to Zol. Zilch, nothing, nada. And yes I am a very disgruntled (almost totally ex) shareholder......
paperclip3: All very positive Ruskie. I'm hoping the publication of the FS will lead to a substantial re-rating of the company, with a concomitant increase in the share price. Ruskie, where do you see the share price in the first quarter of next year?
ruskie123: Jammy - you couldn’t be further from the truth on this. Abramovich recently increased by a further 4%, something you don’t do unless for good reason . Zoltav is not a ramp but a setup that holds the largest reserve base for any minimal Ungeared LsE company with a <£100bn market cap. These reserves have been existent for years but Abramovich had the wrong team at the helm. Note what happened to the share price here when that changed, when he brought in industry experts - the markets knew the inflection. For the past 18 months or so Zoltav have been committing capex to the huge 3,215km² oil and gas basin that is Bortovay. That has been in the form of an fully comprehensive Feasibility Study that will confirm the scale of the upside to the market. It’s a total game changer for Zoltav because it precedes Financing . The financing delivers the biggest of step changes - an asset that produces from just two fields to a double digits number (essentially you keep multiplying the current well stock). This will soon beat 52 week highs as the magnitude of what’s coming isn’t a stock valued at these levels ! If you have any questions , get them in and I’ll answer later in the day . And FYI , Abramovich paid 100p for the Bortovay asset as did the second largest shareholder - a coal magnate/billionaire
bernieboy: Ruskie you are correct but dont forget thst Arkady has been the biggest holder for many years. It didn't stop the share price hitting 6p! Of course the recent increase is very positive but Zol share price doesn't always make sense and show the true value. Just being realistic like.......
bernieboy: Whilst the reply doesn't give too much away I found it quite comforting anyway. Here is my email and the replies: Hi, I am a long term investor in Zoltav Resources and would like some feedback from the company regarding the current share price and if anything is going to be done about it. Having invested at different times all the way down from 180 I am obviously dismayed at seeing the current mid price of 13.5p. How does the company view the current price? I assume that you believe that it is well under the level that it should be at for a great producing company with such great licenses and assets? Do you have some plans to see the share price increased? Why is there so little information imparted to the stock market, we get so few RNSs? Surely a trading update would help? Previously you mentioned the goal to become a leading mid tier Oil and Gas company and to list on the main market of LSE. Are there any plans for this in the near term. Is there anything amiss which would explain the current depressed share price that we should be worried about? Is there a funding requirement or a placing coming? Is the Nomad or broker intending to put out a new 'Research Note' with price target? Any views that could put my mind at rest would be greatly appreciated, whilst I understand of course that you are not at liberty to divulge any market sensitive information of course. Many thanks for your time...... And the reply: Dear...... Thank you for your email regarding Zoltav. Let me firstly say that I can certainly understand your frustration with the market's current determination of the value of the company's shares and indeed those of many other companies in the junior E&P sector at present. Neither the general sentiment towards oil and gas stocks, nor current western investor sentiment towards Russia-focused companies are helpful at present. While Zoltav itself cannot alter the stock market's determination of its share price, I can assure you the company is not satisfied with the market’s determination of its current value and is focusing on delivering operational excellence and on maximising the potential of its assets. We hope in due course - and as sectoral/economic factors improve - that this will indeed be reflected in the company's share price. I have noted your request for more regular operational/performance updates. I should like to point out that when Zoltav reports the results of its operations twice annually, it does so in extensive detail and I would urge you to read such annual and half-yearly reports (available on Zoltav’s website). The next of these will be published prior to the end of this month and I would encourage you to look out for that. I am unable to comment on certain of your specific questions, which would constitute price sensitive information; and investors are responsible for their own analysis of their investments. I do hope, however, that this helps to allay any concerns that the company is not focused on improving its valuation – it certainly is. Like most E&P companies – particularly Russia-focused ones – Zotlav faces headwinds with investor sentiment. However, the company is focused on maximising the potential of its assets to deliver value. Yours sincerely ............ For Zoltav Resources Hope you find it useful. If I had available funds I would probably be topping up again at this ridiculous price! Have a good weekend all, Bernie
