Hmmm"Why would they?, they've been there done that and it was a complete loss making disaster - now YU are locked in and 100% reliant on their hedging capabilities which history would say is not great. Plus I'm still curious as to what the "collateral" is if not cash, equity?....or a decent chunk of their profits?, what?.

Sparky - obsessed with spot price!, thought you'd know how this business operates, clearly not. So a punt all those years ago, sold when it multibagged but love the fantasy kudos eh :)

Fantastic day today, and gas spot price very close to the year high and massively up compared to this time last year.What does that mean ? Massive profits, cash and dividends

disco has no shares in Yu yet posts incessantly. Why? And Munchkin was been rambling weird messages since the 300p days saying this company is rubbish and will get dumped. Far more sensible discussion on the other thread.

SparkyThink you are barking up the wrong tree about the spot price.Shell will either be buying in the way up or have already done their forward hedging. Do you truly believe they are buying OTC?, do you truly believe they are doing it for gratis?, think they either want a chunk of equity as their collateral, which either Bobby boy will give at a fixed price or there will be an issue of shares and dilution. Failing that their fees / commission will be eating into their margins....but who knows, definitely not you or I that's for sure, but those directors know!.

Correction - it was 9.79% in the end. Very strong finish.
