Of course, lurker5, if the Russian/Ukraine situation gets much worse and it proliferates into a nuclear conflict we could see Britain obliterated by nuclear weapons. In which case our investment in XTR will be the last of our worries! It's only money after all. On that cheery note I'll bid you good night.

No good trying to work out whether the 'market' is according this % to this asset and % to that other asset. It doesn't work that way. Sum of the Parts never works either. (IN any case how would you work it out ? BR is subject to wild guesses as to the correct rating to put on the moving target of its eventual resource and its profitabily and chance of being taken out. Ditto what rating are you going to give to unpredicable Africa ? If at all, investors will be focusing on what interests THEM. ie BR's value in the short term. Probably nobody gives a fig for the African assets and if BR falls short of their hopes they're not going to hang around for them.

I wonder how much XTR's African assets contribute to XTR's Market Cap? How much value is reflected in the XTR sp? I can't do more than make a wild guess. Can anybody make a better guess?

Obviously I can see that the XTR share price hovered around 1p for much of 2020 if one ignores the share price rise on the announcement of the acquisition of the Bushranger licence and any share price pre exploration result expectations linked to Racecourse drilling.

However since then there has been progress in Africa (eg Manica) and share dilution because of a placing. I'm guessing a penny would be about right for the XTR share price minus Bushranger, but that's a wild, ignorant, guess on my part. That equates to around £8.5m for the XTR Mkt Cap minus Bushranger.

Could it be 2p, bearing in mind progress at Manica and gold potential? That would equate to a £17m Mkt Cap. To my mind that is wildly over optimistic.

Would more knowledgeable posters, such as TCofMC, TD & lurker5, like to speculate on the current value of XTR African assets to the share price and hence Mkt Cap?

A long article, but very well worth reading. This guy is very knowledgeable on gold.
It's good news for GPM, PUR and other gold mining shares and explorers. Hopefully Ascot assay results indicate a potentially massive gold discovery.

The copper climate should give strength to Colin`s elbow and keep AA from being a little too dominant but everything depends on what and how much we have.

That depends very much on the content of the RNS.

Wise advice, TCofMC. Apart from my XTR I have some PUR. However any future purchases will be to add to my GPM holding and trust the managers to have picked the right junior gold & silver shares to invest in as my stock picking skills are invariably woeful. The GPM share price trades at a whacking great discount, of around 20%, to the NAV. That has narrowed appreciably in the past and even gone to a small premium, when gold & silver are flavour of the month.
Regarding XTR, it is possible that goforgold1 is correct and the share price could drift back down to 5p again. However XTR is news driven and who can predict when the next RNS will be issued and the markets response to it?

Perhaps any remaining holders of warrants at 1.25p will be tempted to sell in case of even further share price fall.

Works in our favour and as the time approaches we can buy more at lower prices. Better than runaway prices reducing future profits.

I`ll leave Colin to do his bit and negotiate on what he has to sell.

Current situation doesn`t matter anyway and won`t for a while. We just need Colin to get on with that drilling, deciding on the perimeters of what is to be sold and come up with his calculation of value in a world of rising copper and gold prices.

Why SHOULD it be higher ? Shares reflect supply and demand for that share. They're not and never have been an indication of value. Don't you know that ? MM's act iaw their expectaions for that supply and denand. Don't you know that either ?

Cu $10,465mt. Could reach $11,000 in next few weeks if no peace deal with Russia is achieved, and at the moment a peace deal is sadly unlikely.

With copper at $4.70 and gold slowly heading for $2,000. This one is getting more valuable by the day.

👍 Well said. In fact since early July 2021 the XTR share price has been trending up. Two steps forward on a good news release followed by one step back on profit taking. It was ever thus. If you look at the KIW share price performance in 2009 and the GGP share price performance in 2020 you will see a similar scenario played out.
