05/6/2018 17:20 | The truth is that everybody is saying "you're getting on MINERVEs". LOL BTW what is your view of chucko1's/winnie's abstruse arithmetical calculations? Could you have done better with your frequently boasted mathematical skills? Personally I think he should stick to share peddling/trolling. LOL | solonic
05/6/2018 15:30 | Are you sure it isn't 'colonic'? ;) | minerve
05/6/2018 15:07 | It's always been an obvious and simple arithmetical calculation. Dilution usually means dilution for all shareholders. The question is why it's still taking you and Minerve so long to work it out...... Should either of you be persistently and repetitively giving advice on investment matters? It's not the first time for either of you that this has happened, as you know. | solonic
05/6/2018 14:53 | ltcm1, at least as of May 11th, there had been no sales in any of his three funds holding the stock (I am now back at my desk so I can look these things up). This is why I was trying to recall what the previous holding(s) had been. For example, at some stage, the share price was 500p ad it is now 375p, so a 25% reduction. All other things being equal (i.e the prices of all other holdings in aggregate) this would imply a percentage fund holding reduction to: (assume original holding was 9.00% and fund price is 100p (arbitrary)) 9% x 100 x (1 - SPR%) / (100 x (1 - SPR%)) where SPR% is the Share Price Reduction (%) of PURP and I assume an original holding of 9% So, using SPR% of 25%, we get a new holding of 6.92%. And this is wiothout selling a single share. All theoretical of course, as it all depends on what timeframe we are investigating. But it illustrates the point. | chucko1
05/6/2018 14:15 | Happy to be on the receiving end of 'poetic justice' and be in profit than be bitter towards the more competents and be in a loss. Keep trying hard boys. :) | minerve
05/6/2018 14:04 | Well why has Purp shrunk to 6.4% when it used to be around 9% when the fund was trading a lot higher than now? Yes I admit I mistakenly took that reduction to 25% for WIM as a confirmation of what I was suspecting, have to admit to a mistake on that one. However the decline of Purp in WPCT does appear funky to me and in the April roundup someone asked the same question. It would hardly be a shock to me if some had been sold to other WIM funds in the second half of last year. Just looking for an explanation, that's all. | ltcm1
05/6/2018 13:32 | Partners in crime. Aiding and abetting. | chuckol
05/6/2018 13:26 | Surely there is a lesson here? Would it not be prudent to make a quick diligent check on the facts before declaiming and loudly holding forth? I'm sorry to say that not ascertaining the truth beforehand is an endemic fault of both winnie and Minerve. | iq151
05/6/2018 13:16 | A kind of poetic justice happening here I can see. Very amusing. | solonic
05/6/2018 13:11 | He's really thrashing around now, but even then he has no shame...... Boasting about a really impossible 14% gain lol lol lol | mochyn
05/6/2018 13:08 | Enemy? ROFLMAO! | minerve
05/6/2018 13:05 | Making up any old rubbish in order to get at their enemy. It's really not working for you is it, chaps? | mochyn
05/6/2018 13:04 | "I feel really sorry for the old git." No need. I am the one who has made the profit! LOL Feel sorry for those sat on losses old boy! ;) | minerve
05/6/2018 12:56 | Poor old Minerve. Forever being caught out. I feel really sorry for the old git. | chuckol
05/6/2018 12:53 | LOL Whatever. I'm one of a few who has made c14% here. FACT. Believe whatever you want to believe moron. | minerve
05/6/2018 12:50 | This is what you said: "Minerve5 Jun '18 - 10:40 - 3182 of 3 I agree Itcm1. Also, I thought this was a long-term investment? He buys Purple Bricks and then is selling them so soon? He obviously has liquidity issues which implies to me he was too trigger happy initially and has too many stocks for his pool of capital to support." There is no question mark at the end of the last paragraph!!!!! Pure, pompous, poo! | trollwatch
05/6/2018 12:44 | 1tcm1 My sentence wrt Purple Bricks was terminated with a question mark because I am not following WPCT that closely and I was following on from a comment already made. I trusted that comment but it isn't important to me because I am not invested in any Woodford funds at present. Previous experience makes me believe he trades way too often and has too many stocks. That is perhaps a fault of him letting his funds become too big. | minerve
05/6/2018 12:44 | Why is it that it's the pompous gits who are always shouting the odds who turn out to be so woefully ignorant? | trollwatch
05/6/2018 12:40 | Wow it's a long time since I've seen that level of ignorance as we've seen from Winnie/Minerve. I think you had better stop your daft pontificating.! | chuckol
05/6/2018 12:35 | You seem so ignorant of the technical aspects of investing, Minerve. Are you sure you should be posting on ADVFN where a certain minimal knowledge is assumed? WOODFORD DID NOT SELL ANY PURP OK? Of course the shareholding went down from 28.3 to 26.16% but that was a function of the share issue to Axel Springer. Christ, some people are REALLY thick. Minerve, you're letting your hatred of Woody consume you! | 1tcm1
05/6/2018 11:48 | seems some still (post 3181) still have their heads firmly in the sand. | rackers1
05/6/2018 11:16 | Sorry chucko1 I don't. | ltcm1 |
