It'll be people reading the stockopedia pitch I reckon, very informative post which makes a strong case for the business.

Reckon so. Patience to be rewarded soon. Chief inspector of Schools has reported an unusually high number of pupils taken off roll to be home schooled.

In 2016 preliminary results were in October (31st). So it is possible could be this month. But statistically speaking most like in November.

What I would like to see (apart from "good results" is possibly:

1. an investment in an Education App - MILES more people use phones compared to the web - its not even remotely close.
2. Possibly a joint venture or two.

Interhigh is popping up a lot on Studentroom threads recently. Some good comments, some bad. The quantity is rising:

Currently the RSI of WEY is slightly below average so its definitely not over bought (see chart above in header)

Whole page in Sunday times business section on COLIN JACKSON (page 16).

No mention of InterHigh but anyone who looks up Colin Jackson in google will almost certainly see InterHigh (in my search Interhigh is the first hit).

When asked: "Do you invest in shares"
He replied: "Yes......"
I wonder if he has any WEY shares. He lives in Wales (I think Cardiff Bay area).

Hi chaps, WEY has been on my radar for a while and brought in two weeks ago, I think results end of Oct early November will be very interesting. This share does not get much attention but if the RNS is positive this could be a winner in my book.

RSI at a very low point. There is rapidly rising numbers of covid.
This could be a good entry point into the share.
Price just turning upwards (slightly).

Interesting - something "big" could be happening soon.
On the WEY Education main page it says:

One company, Three beloved brands, One accelerated growth trajectory

You click the "brands" but only TWO come up - what is the third one? Exciting times.....

Or is it a typo? Or does "WEY" itself count as a brand?

(scroll down to the heading "About Wey Education"...)

naw its got to be typo of some sort.
Sorry false alarm.
I cant see how it realistically can be anything else... can it?

Currently they are looking for another 5 teachers:

(they seem to need more and more teachers each and every month - normally different subjects each time so definitely expanding - the million dollar question is by how much)

lol! (ps that is that just interhigh? or is it for Academy21 as well - as theoretically WEY might have many more kids coming in via public sector now. Not sure if 1,500 is up to date or not

Since my last post 90 mins ago they have changed the website message from 'start this September' to 'start this autumn'. Perhaps they do monitor this site (or perhaps it's coincidence).

Further, the site now says 'There are currently around 1,500 pupils taking advantage of online learning in the school'. I may be mistaken on this but I thought the previous reference was to 1000 pupils. Net?

PS I don't spend all my time monitoring the WEY website; just happened to be looking in more detail today!

According to the Interhigh website 'In general, learners are arranged into class tutor groups up to a maximum of 19 pupils' and in the 6th form class sizes are limited to 15.
But there again the website also says 'Apply now, start at Interhigh this September' so it's safe to say it may need updating.

Yes interesting. They are a private company with one person, Tom Crombie, very much in charge. He is the founder, owner (more than 75% of shares), and apparently the person responsible for all hiring and firing. That's a lot of power in one pair of hands; good for them if he is competent, but a degree of risk too.

They claim in their 2020/21 prospectus to have 600 pupils.

This Scottish company (myonlineschooling) appears to be quite strong competition for WEY. They appear to be full up until after January. On mumsnet etc they appear to have smaller class sizes than WEY. They've upped their class sizes from 20 to 25 because of Covid - so if that is smaller than WEY I guess we must be in range 25-30 a class?

The good news is if they are full and if this slogan is true ("a rising tide raises all boats") so must WEY be pretty much full.
I wonder if Scotland (MOS) and Wales (WEY) will team up?

Nice to see RSI right in middle (not over bought or oversold), price gently rising again and mainly buys over past few days.
