09/8/2020 13:03 | I see the website has had a bit of a revamp since I last looked. At first glance I'd say it's a big improvement with links to what you want to find, rather than one long script. | bigboyblue
06/8/2020 12:43 | I keep thinking there is a big buyer somewhere. Ill tell you why. We keep seeing sells that would have knocked the price down loads in the olden days but at present it doesn't seem to dent WEY at all. Is there someone mopping up all the stock? Anyone else think its a bit odd? | netcurtains
05/8/2020 07:51 | The summer school has well and truly started now. Have any shareholders children been on one? Are they as good as we expect from WEY? | netcurtains
30/7/2020 08:02 | I get that 1jbrisky - and the TWO tides here probably are (ONE) blended education and academy21 sales to schools, colleges and private education establishments... (TWO) Home School and InterHigh Just got to be patient. Cheers Net... | netcurtains
30/7/2020 07:32 | Net ANY information would be hugely appreciated but I'm not holding my breath. I love the story here and I'm invested because I believe in WEY's market niche. I always feel however that we will be rewarded despite the BOD and not because of them. Their lack of communication and total lack of empathy for PI's frustrates the life out of me. Their last trading update was virtually pointless, telling us nothing that any (potential) investor couldn't have worked out for themselves with 20 minutes of research. However, a rising tide lifts all boats and the future here is bright. | 1jbrisky
29/7/2020 08:24 | Its been in this sort of trading range since April. We need some further news concerning September figures. I guess what I'm saying is we need an update in August. Need to know if they are managing to turn the massive inquiry levels into sales. One "important" figure would be the "summer school" take-up now its on the HOME LANDING PAGE of interhigh. this is all new revenue.... Its about £175, so how many extra £175s will WEY get by the end of August. They have four more days of marketing and then it starts. It would be nice to get total figures for this summer school sometime in August (or at least a "as expected" or "better than" or "worse than" note concerning the summer school in August). Its a great introduction to on-line learning and it could feed pupils into the main interhigh school - if they like the summer school experience. | netcurtains
27/7/2020 16:18 | Looking at traffic to interhigh website - generally a good picture (however I must admit I'm not a expert in internet stats and what they mean so I might be miles off the mark - however anyone can sign up to the site link below for free and correct me where I might be wrong): From April to June (total figures) 312,000 hits. Comparing just direct visits to websites of: Interhigh to OxfordHomeSchool or WolseyHall Interhigh 203.6k (thats a heck of a lot) WolseyHall 15.3k OxfordHomeschool 3.1k InterHigh is taking the lions share of the traffic. Web traffic figures from SimilarWeb a 5% conversion rate (which is very good) would equate to 15,000 pupils..... (if academy21 did similar but for B2B then we're talking massive). I have no idea what the conversion rate is. Interhigh now have the Summer School on the LANDING page so it would be interesting to note how many extra pupils they get for this August summer school. If you add in July August September (another 300,000 hits) and you got a conversion rate of 1% that would be 6,000 students for InterHigh (Academy21 might have similar).. Wishful thinking or realistic numbers? I have no idea. Really really good conversion would be about 5%. But if 1% that would still be good. | netcurtains
27/7/2020 10:12 | ...actually I was mulling things over the weekend as you do, and I think WEY Education are in a good position to help all schools during COVID era via "blended learning" Schools will need more teachers to keep class sizes down for social distancing. These extra teachers can be via "blended learning" (eg some classes over the internet). WEYs academy21 (which deals with local authorities) as the UKs premier online education company WEY are in a good position to pick up significant "blended learning" contracts for more or less any school in the UK - private or public. Welsh government document specifically talks of the need for blended learning for this critical autumn term: | netcurtains
23/7/2020 17:36 | the summer school is still advertising so I suspect they are increasing the numbers. Seems quite a reasonable price and gives kids a feel for what it will be like if they sign up for September term... (note reasonable price enclosed) the enrolment process has recently been updated to make the steps easier for new admissions: | netcurtains
23/7/2020 17:29 | I think we need to look to September. I’m informed the capacity was for 80 students only. I was so disappointed on hearing. What a missed opportunity. On reflection though it kind of stacks up. No serious marketing. Directors selling on the increased share price Come on Wey. | bdh1
20/7/2020 09:57 | WEY Education summer school starts TODAY.... From link: ". “The programme is a taste of what the future of learning is all about and we are very excited to be a part of such an innovative project that will support not only our own InterHigh students but other learners impacted by Covid-19 who want to do something fun and different this summer.” What we all want to know is the numbers of: ".....other learners...."..... | netcurtains
18/7/2020 14:35 | I only just found this; it's nearly a month old, but it might explain net's observations about Wales at post 245: | bigboyblue
18/7/2020 10:01 | Don't know about any of you, but if my kids were still at school, I would be seriously considering InterHigh as a viable option. Not only because of the lowered risks of Covid transmission but the benefits of a fully functioning and experienced online school. The costs are much lower than traditional private schools too | longshanks
17/7/2020 16:43 | Nice to see it held on to rise and some big investments by small investors. Not sure what next week will bring but today was the LAST DAY OF TERM for many schools so expect to see WEY ramp up the marketing as we move into August..... If anyone hears any adverts , sees adverts on websites etc etc, let us all know so we can see what is going on - thanks.. They have up'ed the marketing spend by HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS (see todays update) so we should start to see some of that trickle into our eyes and earshot soon... I know they had been advertising on LBC......Anyway anyone hears or sees anything let us all know | netcurtains

17/7/2020 11:20 | Agree Shanklin. Today's update presumably takes into account some enrolments for September and payment of deposits. Using a rough calculation, an extra 300 Interhigh pupils would translate into £1m of income for a full year, not a big ask I would suggest in the current circumstances. We know that the company tends to understate. We are now projected to have at least a 30% increase this year and btw £8m turnover this year (now to be considered the minimum) would actually be a 32.2% increase. Next year's increase could be much more and I'll be interested to see what forward guidance is offered in late Aug/early Sept. Edit: net, you posted as I was typing. My point exactly! | bigboyblue
17/7/2020 11:19 | I sold 50% too slowly after director sells but bought a few more recently. Here what you’re saying Napoleon. I was equally frustrated at the limited progress gives conditions. This could have been a transformational period. However, we can’t argue that the business is growing every year & strides are being made eg senior appointments. CTO next. I just wonder if technology has been a real hurdle holding them back. They now have the marketing & propositions covered. With IT boxed off there could be much more to come | bdh1
17/7/2020 11:13 | I posted this earlier but worth posting again in conjunction with Trading Update.. worth looking at Sales growth over the years:2016 2017 2018 2019 202093% 60% 73% 44% sales? the million dollar question but almost certainly up a lot. Well now we know its going to be over 30%, and hopefully in August we'll get a further update by how much over 30%.... | netcurtains

17/7/2020 10:40 | Director slaes + a share price lurch from 30p to 20p made me clear out of here (profitably). That TU isn't bad but we're still talking small fry, and 30% growth in a currently very favourable market isn't a huge achievement after gearing up costs. Compare that to TLY & you'll see why I bought more of those with the proceeds here. Not too sure I want back in. | napoleon 14th
17/7/2020 10:15 | surprised how quiet it is here considering it used to be pretty active. Everyone sold out just when WEY was going places? | mg1982
17/7/2020 09:59 | Dummy buys are showing at 25.2p,and sells at 24.57, The bid is almost spot on, but masses of space above the offer to 26p as shows Gla lth's | abergele
17/7/2020 09:40 | The last three years, there have been end of year TS's in the latter part of August, so I would expect one this year. Presumably they were forced into today's impromptu update by realisng there was no way thay could miss on significantly beating forecasts. I guess the question is whether, with another 6 weeks of trading in the bag, the beat will be by more than today's update indicates, and how this will impact next year's forecast. | shanklin
17/7/2020 09:30 | nico115: I'm not sure we'll get to 30p with this update, but will not be surprised if we do (anything can happen with shares).. I think if we do break 30 we'll go pretty fast to 40p (nothing will be holding us back from break out)... But I cant see it happening yet until nearer September - but who knows. | netcurtains |
