Do any investors in WEY have a list of AIM /FTSE shares that are heavily involved in ON-LINE testing.

Lots of twenty somethings, out of college, from anecdotal evidence are using the lockdown time to take exams and small online courses (perhaps in IT or langauges etc).

Be great if anyone had a list of TICKER SYMBOLS to share?

Netcurtains, I’ve closed the old thread with (I hope) its final entry!

Thanks for starting this one up. I’ll be doing the same with AOR when it finally gets around to its name change!

From talking to my mates at virtual pub (IT geeks) the IT adverts WEY have posted could be for a massive telephone call centre type marketing operation (and or general call centre enquires type operation )...

I was also thinking about the "tens of thousands" WEY mentioned in various releases and how these schools might come to WEY.

Currently lots of schools are using "google class" but possibly they could be persuaded (by telemarketing campaign) to switch to WEYs platform as its much more secure, its BRITISH and it has a lot of added value already built into the system (eg it has teachers to teach lessons unlike google class which is just a framework!) . So in a sense, whole schools could switch to WEY as their provider for remote lessons.

Why help American tech billionaires get even richer - keep the money in Blightie!

Remember our new Chairman is fundamentally a tech guru himself - the chairman of TIDE - if you scroll down on his mpro5 web site they naturally talk in millions:

Re tele-sales (on their mpro5 site) they say:

SERVICE AND SUPPORT
FROM OUR
DEDICATED TEAM
Our Customer Excellence team and our Support team are on hand for you and your workforce.

The CE team will quickly adapt your system over-the-air when you require changes and additions. We also have a reactive support team who are on hand to troubleshoot any queries your mobile workforce may have. You’ll get to know our team by their first names, and will have any queries met quickly.

I've created a subsidiary thread to this which includes TRADES in the header graph (something this one does not have).
If anyone has the current WH Ireland figures I'll post them in the header.

The chairman's statement is actually worth a second and third read:

Chairman's Statement

Our cash position is very strong and our balance sheet is well structured, with no debt. I was delighted to welcome some new, well-respected institutions to our shareholder base this year, a true indicator of the awareness and respect Wey now enjoys.

Thanks for the link, interesting to see capital flowing in to a company with related aims. I particularly like this part:."As a direct result of the virus, we have already seen a monumental shift in the education sector towards online, remote learning. The Board believes this trend will continue even after the virus has been properly dealt with, and believes that its strategy and search criteria for acquisition targets is in-line with this growing trend.".Interesting times indeed! tightfist

rampmeister - I did the same with AOR - sold half then the very next day they issued a press release and it went up significantly. LOL. I then sold the other half.

Looking back, I'm out of AOR for the reverse reasons you left WEY, I left because even though they did loads and loads of press releases and kept everyone fully informed sometimes I feel less is more.

WEY have said they are going for "tens of thousands". They have a track record of delivering. I dont think Covid will kick in as a major positive variable for WEY's business model until beginning of September - the new school year. The current term is miles too messy (exams cancelled, academic chaos everywhere) - WEY could issue a good news update (numbers stable and inquiries up ) and next day its bad - egg on face - it really is best to wait until NEW SCHOOL YEAR....

What will the numbers be then? I would expect a "Trading Update" sometime in the Summer to let us know . If they are going for "tens of thousands" that implies they are expecting a major milestone to be reached towards that target THIS SEPTEMBER..... Three months away. US research suggests Covid has put remote learning in a position 4 or 5 years ahead of schedule (WEY have informed us of that). Within the three month summer break before the brand new WEY 2.0 new school year I would expect an update.

Rampy - gut feeling is if you dont want to be over exposed in WEY at least have a small side punt, just in case. It could be a nice Christmas present.

Thanks your response BBB and can not disagree with the concluding comments in your penultimate sentence. Clearly WEY are in the right place at the right time. However, the world has changed completely since the Covid outbreak and most companies have recognised this and explained how they have been affected in this new environment.
My paranoid antennae are twitching so have reluctantly sold my holding and will probably regret doing so in the near future. Good luck to all holders.

500,000 buy trade - So big trades now for two days. I guess we have one or two big buyers (or more)...

I'm thinking we might need a new thread soon for WEY 2.0 (and of course new WH Ireland report figures).
We are becoming a different company.

For example I think Microsoft Dynamics 365 is probably a whole new way for WEY:

Gut feeling is they are using it for marketing and telesales (but could be wrong)....Its quite a big team they are employing on the dynamics365 project. With Mr Wipps experience at Crimson Tide (look at some of the numbers on the website: ) I'm guessing we're going to leverage the power of sales tech more.

Anyway new dawn new thead perhaps? I think bones is now much more of an AOR investor so perhaps needs someone else to take over? I do the TRIAD (TRD) thead so I suggest anyone but me..

Blimey chaps, WH Ireland issued an update, posted here, straight after the H1 results. What more do you want? WEY clearly aren't going to say anything more currently than is in the note.

bigboyblue: Yes it could be that something is "going on" - either buying or being bought or both (eg was vague talk on 'new investors')... also 'Tens of Thousands' talk could quasi imply something too. But bottom line is 'Remote Learning' is a growing industry pre-virus, during virus and post virus.

There is nothing better to help the planet (and commuters) then the end of the school run...That will free up an awful lot of space on trains and buses - never mind motorways.
