This tweet really sums up why InterHigh is great:

That appears to be the one, recently teamed up with Lenovo.

bigboyblue: I found an interesting Tweet from Chris Akers (one of those big US/UK investors) . It was about K12 #DEV etc. It might or might not be the DEV you mean but for our purposes it explains what is what in this new world:

Bought more today. Despite being overweight. Wey was already getting itself into shape before this whole coronavirus came along. Almost 60% gross margin business so extra volume materially boosts the bottom line.

A better comparison might be with DEV. Not exactly online learning but they sell software for online use by schools and colleges (career planning etc). Up from 3.1p on 3rd April to 6.25p today.

packie: Malvern are (generally speaking) an ON SITE learning company which of course is going to go down during lockdown (duh!!!)
I do hope your research is a bit better than pin sticking... LOL (no offence, but that was such a rockie error, you must expect your leg to be pulled for that.

Look at line one of its website:

cheakyMonkey: No people are actually profit taking. I suspect they will be back in later. Its pretty clear WEY are doing very well and will do well for at least the next couple of years...

Is this a tree shake before results?

I remember in the olden days people used to do something called a T+10 where they would BUY the share 10 days before results and sell on the news without having to pay for the stock. I guess with ISA money this no longer applies. Times have changed a lot in 20 years.

Remember InterHigh is not education for LOCKDOWN - its education that SETS YOU FREE. InterHigh allows you to get Education anywhere you want and to get the subjects you want. You are not a number, you are a free individual.
Its not about social distancing or working from home etc etc - its about being A FREE INDIVIDUAL...

We definitely need a new 'Broker Note' from W H Ireland as the header of this thread is clearly out of date. The previous broker forecasts are pre the "ahead of expectations" note issued by WEY and pre GLOBAL coronavirus.

I hope W H Ireland have done a new forecast - all ready and waiting for when results come out...

More good news. Quite material number of “investment221; type roles now. Barrie Whipp stated that appointment of senior executives & increased marketing spend was being covered by revenue growth in Feb RNS. Post Massie the board have been quite prudent ie under promising with a view to over delivering. If the principle holds & all these roles are begging self funded from increasing revenue there could be a serious step up in share price post results announcement

Expansion continues apace. Latest job adverts are for 'dynamics developers'. Technical stuff is beyond me but it's all about this:

'Wey Education plc require Dynamics Developers to customise our existing MIS platforms and to implement dynamics across the business.

As part of the project team you will be required to review our systems from end to end and to implement system changes to ensure the business achieves its IT strategy.

As a Dynamics Developer you will play a key role in continuing to develop and deliver our IT roadmap as part of the accelerated growth for Wey Education plc.'

May I remind you of our little conversation:

I SAID:
K12 (home school) up 20% in USA yesterday.
Market Cap currently: 850 million dollars.

But it's not doing much for the share price?

ANSWER:
Since you asked that question LRN (in USA) has gone from $17 to $24.

WEY of course continues to follow suit

Disappointed with this one given the potential with schools off. No RNS and no real trading in the shares. IMHO.

bigboyblue: the figures (I guess) should however include the work they did in Wuhan - so that will be interesting .... I suspect savvy internet gurus probably could find out how WEYs chinese partner company is doing (share price, turnover etc etc) by doing some canny internet searches.

Interims should be on 11th May, that was the provisional date given in last year's finals.
At this stage last year the 6 month's turnover was £2.7m, somewhat under half of the full year figure of £6m.
The February update suggested £7.5m+ so on that basis we might expect around £3.5m turnover for the 6 months to 28th Feb.
The interesting bit will be the outlook for the rest of the year. I'm expecting a significant upward revision to that £7.5m in the light of the last couple of months. However we shouldn't expect a comparable increase in profits just yet. The costs associated with recruitment, training and support of new staff will be high during the second 6 months.

TFC: For various reasons I think we can safely say WEY should have a good 2020 and a good 2021 - there are not many shares where investors can feel relatively confident in thinking that 'way'.
