27/9/2017 14:31 | exploratory 26 Sep '17 - 10:08 - 1936 of 1941 1 0 Interesting RNS - suggests a business case for a WAND solution over sever back up and associated servicing costs for Enterprises. Anyone know of an equally effective solution for this problem ? To answer your query about server back-up on an enterprise system, I assume you would be talking about a company with a traditional mix of sales order entry, production management, CAD/CAM, CRM, inventory management, accounts, billing, payroll, email etc. Wandisco is aimed at a different market using very large databases for example census information, medical records etc. This data is predominantly read only for the purpose of statistical analysis and so the rate of change requiring replication is smaller than the data in a typical enterprise system. As mentioned earlier the rate of change of data cannot exceed the network bandwidth to other cluster members or the consistency cannot be guaranteed. | melton john
27/9/2017 09:49 | hxxps://www.wandisco Interesting to see a couple of jobs up for grabs in china - hoping for an Amazon / Microsoft style partnership with Alibaba eventually. (or even better an IBM style partnership). | nimbo1

26/9/2017 15:27 | this is what microsoft has to say about it. WANdisco Fusion Server wandisco OverviewPlans WANdisco Fusion Server - Active Data Replication WANdisco's patented replication technology transfers data between environments as it changes in your on-premise local and NFS mounted file systems running on EMC Isilon, NetApp or other Linux based servers, Hadoop clusters running on any HDFS or HCFS compatible storage (Cloudera (CDH), Hortonworks (HDP), MapR, IBM Big Insights, Pivotal (PHD), Oracle BDA) as well as other cloud environments with guaranteed consistency to Azure HDInsight. These environments operate in parallel during transfer without downtime or disruption. Continuous active migration eliminates WAN traffic spikes and allows high volume data transfer to keep up with on-premise ingest rates. Recovery is automatic after planned or unplanned network or hardware outages in either on-premise or cloud environments. Simple setup in both on-premise and the Azure cloud has you up and running in minutes. | nimbo1

26/9/2017 09:06 | I can understand taking profit but I feel with a decent trading update in a couple of weeks ahead of the capital markets day this will be heading even higher. Guaranteeing 100% uptime is not easy to copy, hence it was deemed impossible before the algorithm was in play. Many patents protecting the IP. A massive market which will grow year on year and WAND is positioned very well to grow with it. David Richards believes this company will be over a billion in value soon so three times where we are now and imagine a dual listing in the US would make that a reality sooner. | tickboo
26/9/2017 08:42 | Yeah if anyone wants to wash their teeth with their boyfriend's c*ck what's wrong with that? I believe the willy toothbrush is one of £IDP's most promising new products. Anyway, WAND, yup any one of those big three could buy it, or try to copy it. I'm hoping the former but fear of the latter stops me buying any more. | runthejoules
26/9/2017 08:32 | Jeez bit early for that! I don't agree with his opinions either, but let's at least keep it civil on here...peace out! | nmulm

26/9/2017 07:53 | what to do with all the profits, with either Kim or Trump ready to kick off | nimrod22
26/9/2017 07:36 | Ok this may sound a bit Rampy but it's beginning to look like this is going to become standard - all the tech giants are offerering it. Microsoft! Amazon! Oracle! Ibm! Could we be in early in a multi billion pound company? Dunno but pleased to be in. Also herd still isn't here yet | nimbo1

25/9/2017 13:48 | The MMs seem keen for shares which is good. I expect some decent buying in the lead up to the trading update and after the capital markets day. I believe it's when not if we hit £10 in the short term. | tickboo
25/9/2017 12:08 | Question is will WANDISCO be the gold standard for cloud when it comes to helping maintain data integrity for heavy data users. If it will then we are looking at valuations in the region of several billion and several multiples of the current price. If not then the naysayers will be vindicated. | exploratory
25/9/2017 11:31 | Chill out chaps, people have different views which should be welcomed. I think there's more to come with this and expect a trading update (Q3) before the capital markets day and am hoping for some good news and a decent rise after the capital markets day due to some big money coming in. | tickboo
