Hi All, I've just released my latest video on CIRATA (#WAND) where I review of the recent share price movement and consider why the share price has dropped and when it is likely to recover. Please share if you like... https://youtu.be/fxpRhb4U5Uc#cirata #WAND #wandisco #stephenkelly

Hi All, I’ve just published my first video on #WANDISCO. It chronicles the last year for #WAND as well as my thoughts on WAND as a investment. If you’ve followed WAND since the start you may know most of this but if curious about WAND, interested in investing in WAND, or just want to increase your own research this video should help you. Not financial advice, of course. Share if you like. Thanks… hxxps://youtu.be/N2ZCv5kSdWo

Post 2252, superb interview, almost acts as a trading update, shows where WAND is heading, no problem with todays fund raise, gets it out of the way and was kinda expected at some point. IMO

I think the next driver is likely to be some numbers in Jans. update.

Another partnership deal via Dell, with global market reach. WAND's routes to market are certainly impressive.

Interesting to hear the CEO comment on IBM's Nick Dimtchev, in that his team were turning 20 - 30m USD deals into 200m USD deals in a short space of time. The IBM team is a highly focused bunch of pro's with clear strategies and goals. (Approx 1Hr 58Mins in)

Agreed, the IBM presentation is well worth a listen to give credence to how they are leveraging Wand.Fushion and the rationale behind the partnership. Indeed one can see why this partnership is transformational to Wand.

Talking primarily about hacking issues, but does give an insight into the ballooning amount of data being generated and that's just for autos, most of this is cloud based and where the fusion product is aimed at.

I do think WAND is still in the foothills of this potential market. IMO

FordDirect signs first contract with WANdisco

WANdisco (LSE: WAND), the data activation platform, today announces a new one-year contract valued at $7,680 with FordDirect for WANdisco's Data Migrator product. Though small in initial value, this is the first contract the Company has signed with FordDirect and has been secured via the Company's partnership with Microsoft.

Scutable,

For the four examples that the company posted:

Xandr and GoDaddy are one off migrations for decomissioning of legacy equiment, the two others are disaster recovery solutions that will likely have much smaller deltas on an ongoing basis (copy data once, then only changes on an ongoing basis). It's typical for technology suppliers to have a high RRP on their software/services, which is then hugely discounted in the real world.

I don't think there was or is anything wrong with the solution WAND provide, it was just massively oversold to investors.

Primarily it's not an "at the edge" unique solution for IOT providers. Rather it's a simple migration tool that is able to move Hadoop data from on-premise to cloud. There are a couple of issues with that:

1. There is free software that can do the job, albeit they may not be as efficient. That software is supplied by Cloud providers among others, so not fly by night private or small cap companies.

2. Hadoop is an older open source technology designed by Apache and has mostly been superceded by Spark (also Apache) which is superior for real time processing and AI albeit more expensive.

There may be a business for WAND going forward, but if that business exists in the kind of volume WAND needs, it may still be subscale for a puiblicly listed company.

Migration tools are a dime a dozen, they all work on a bulk copy, followed by deltas and final cutover. WAND has managed to find a very small niche to sell it's unique features in to... the question still remains if that niche is big enough to support the company going forward. History would suggest it isn't.

WANdisco (LSE: WAND), the data activation platform, today announces that Harry Brown of Oxford has subscribed for a minimum period of one month for an initial contract valued at $29.99 for WANdiscos Data Migrator product. The agreement will auto renew on the 12th of each month, and the directors are delighted to announce that their development roadmap envisages introducing proprietary functionality that will allow the company to automatically charge his credit card rather than relying on him sending a monthly cheque. Mr Brown is in the process of digitising his family photo albums and has plans to also turn on the automatic back up feature of his iphone within the next 5 years.

bones:
your irony is misplaced.

I doubt that WAND have anything like £40m of unavoidable costs/annually ahead of them. Any CEO controlling £10-15m p/a revenues which WAND had before the fraud began, should be able to justify a capital value of >£10-30m as a multiple of sales. Wand surely has intrinsically low cost of sales, especially in the second year of any contract. What will today's Tesco repeat order cost them during the coming 12 months?.

Would someone who really knows such a business at least e hazard a guess of the running costs if any at all?

SpectoAcc:
at least get your facts right:

in May 11 2022 the shares touched absolute bottom at 211p making WAND'S valuation around £2m. Is that supposed to be "nearly a billion Quid"

But that's not relevant to my argument ,which refers back to a time when genuine orders were being placed, two or three significant, each month, via introductions from the likes of AWS, Microsoft, Oracle,IBM, Infosys, Snowflake and so on and so on from Canada, USA, S Africa and the EU.. These genuine orders were attracted by the unique quality of Wand's product, which still holds: as endorsed/expressed by Accenture, which us why their modest six figure order is so valuable..

Well before the fraud began, international retailers, banks, insurers, telecoms and automotive suppliers were getting good value honestly from Wand at Wand's expense. Their business plan was naive, just silly in cashflow terms and it continued to pile up debt with each order beyond the full year.

Provided that they are able in future to change the payment terms, they should become a good investment. Now that the technology is proven they should be able to exact normal terms, and prosper, which prospect seems to annoy so many contributors swarming here like so many Draculas at a Transylvanian feast.

27/09/2012 06:02 UK Regulatory (RNS & others) WANdisco Plc Interim Results LSE:WAND Wandisco Plc

Revenue US$2.915M.

06/09/2022 06:00 UK Regulatory (RNS & others) WANdisco Plc Interim results LSE:WAND Wandisco Plc

Revenue US$5.823M.

So in a decade on AIM, after apparently burning through about US$200M., WAND has managed to double its interim revenues: a compounded annual revenue growth rate of about 7%.

But it managed to persuade the market that its annual revenue was now apparently relatively quickly likely to rise by about a thousand per cent.

And some clever people seem to have been taken in: apparently multiple US billionaires on the share register (Davis, Dollens and Gruber), and the UK's Richard Griffiths and tech specialists Herald Investment Trust.

It's also interesting that the "irregularities" were uncovered immediately after the 'floating in America' and 'joint broker RNSes' (on 6th. & 7th. of March): suggesting that Americans engaged for the float and/or the new broker may almost immediately have uncovered what was going on.

But even if the numbers had been real, WAND's valuation was still astronomical, especially for the current tech stock bear market.

Preliminary unaudited revenues of at least $24M. for 2023, and a market cap. of £890M., is still a PSR (price-to-sales ratio) in the 40s, for a likely 2023 operating loss.

Compare that to a British tech stock that really IS doing well in America, and recently announced an interim pre-tax profit:-

From the bar graph on page 12 of NWT's annual report & accounts for the year ended 30.4.22:-
"Five years of consecutive revenue growth:
HCM in North America: £m"
2017: £0.9M.
2018: £1.2M.
2019: £4.0M.
2020: £5.9M.
2021: £6.5M.
2022: £8.7M.

NWT's current market cap. is £5.16M. (at 55p), on £19.145M. revenue for its year ended ended 30.4.22: a historic PSR of 0.27, i.e. under a hundredth of WAND's PSR even on its apparently fraudulently-inflated figures.

This is the sort of REAL tech success into America that should be celebrated, and awarded a higher rating.
