The FT has this contract valued at AT LEAST $1 million p/a. Also they say this is a 3 year agreement. I don't see this in the RNS. Where are they getting their numbers from? It is great news and WAND is laying great foundations for scaling up sales. I am just puzzled as to why FT have these numbers but nothing in RNS. Great to see. It'd be great to get Alibaba involved as although they're relatively new to this space they're growing rapidly. Regardless, great to see and hopefully deals can start to come through this new deal Q2 or even Q1. Long and strong.

145,088, nice, wish I could afford that many. Happy with my lot and although disappointed we didn't get the final quarterly trading update which tells me it was a slow one (as Q3 often is) I hope we get some good news before the year end. It will be disappointing if we don't beat Edison's $17m given we did $10m H1, hopefully a strong Q4 and we here of some decent contract wins, existing clients taking more products (back up etc) and another OEM deal would be a bonus.

nimbo, I couldn't agree more but the share price has lost circa 50p since the capital markets day so definitely not had the desired affect. I think the guy from HP said he expected some big contracts to come in before year's end so I guess we'll wait and see if that's true. The summer is always slow and Q4 important so let's hope we have some chunky wins announced before the year end and beat the Edison $17m which given we were $10m at the interim it will be disappointing not to.

since the capital markets day the thing i have been disappointed with is volume. doesn't look like it generated much interest. On the plus side it hasn't been seen as a negative and there has been no selling of note. My suspicion is new entrants need proof of further traction before stumping up at these levels...and perhaps they'll end up paying a higher price! look forward to next news.

Replicator WANdisco says its Fusion product is integrated with Microsoft Azure Data Box. I'm a little surprised the Edison note said the next trading update would be in Jan given we are due one in October.

This year we've had -

Jan 16th 2017 trading update
April 24th 2017 trading update
July 25th 2017 trading update

I'd hope for a trading update at some stage this week then.

Q4 is a big Q for software and given the exposure to IBM its likely there is not much to say this side of year end? I do think they have to get their messaging right around timing for updates.. they get a free pass in 2017 but if they haven’t got enough for regular q’s on bookings in 2018 then we all know we are too early ....at £8!!

Hi Gary, I noticed that in the Edison report which surprised me as at the private investor presentation David said they'd be one in October. The last one was 25th July so I expect one before the end of October. That said, Edison is paid for research so I'd have thought Wand would have okayed the contents. We'll see.

Interesting to hear the CEO comment on IBM's Nick Dimtchev, in that his team were turning 20 - 30m USD deals into 200m USD deals in a short space of time. The IBM team is a highly focused bunch of pro's with clear strategies and goals. (Approx 1Hr 58Mins in)

Agreed, the IBM presentation is well worth a listen to give credence to how they are leveraging Wand.Fushion and the rationale behind the partnership. Indeed one can see why this partnership is transformational to Wand.

Well we're due a quarterly update so I hope turnover is circa $5m which should see us very near to the projected $17m which Edison predicted for the year. I guess July to Sept is one of the slower quarters though so it may well be nearer $4m. Hopefully some existing clients are increasing spend and buying other services.

If you can find the time to watch the video i would, its 2 hours! The most important part is at the end when the IBM executive does his presentation. (c.1hr 52 mins onwards) there is a slide which talks about the sale technique - the whole point is IBM big replicate saves corporates money (there is a slide and explanation on why). Over 3 years in the example given the corporate could save $9.3 million. This saving is the driving force between signing $3-4 million transactions.

IBM big replicate falls into the highest growing part of IMB and is one of its core 3 focus areas for this year. There is potential to expand sales from north america and europe into Asia, Latin America, Japan and Africa and 'potential to drive significant transactions' in those areas.

One of the analysts quite rightly asked why there have been so few large deals announced to date - the IBM chap answered he is seeing lots of interest from potential customers which in his experience will lead to sales and he is very optimistic on growth.

David from Wandisco said you'll begin to see benefit (new deals with customers) from the new deals with Amazon and Microsoft etc towards the end of this year and early next as they are talks with their first customers and given their IBM experience there is always some sort of lead in time.

All very positive IMO for the long term future of Wandsico. Plenty of hints they are also looking to china where big data growth is fastest and partnering with Alibaba.

With regards to share price if I had to guess I'd say I think you'll see further consolidation rather than fireworks until all the above actually happens and is reported but who knows. Someone will want to acquire wandisco at some point imo.
