10/2/2010 07:38 | company seriously needs to get a new broker report done - can't remember the last one. also more regularly updates via the website wouldn't hurt | tsmith2
10/2/2010 05:57 | tick up today getting ready for friday, or will there be nothing much said that is new in the announcment? | dd776
07/2/2010 20:54 | GG many thanks, totally agree with that last sentence. | soulsauce
07/2/2010 17:29 | soulsauce - I believe that this will be a very good week indeed. There was a point last year when I thought that the business may just run out of cash - but hopefully that situation has been resolved and again, hopefully, the rest of the non core assets get sold off and we are left with a well run well funded media business. The market cap still prices in failure. gg | greengiant
07/2/2010 14:12 | Could we have something positive this week guys? | soulsauce
07/2/2010 14:11 | egoi - you have mail gg | greengiant
06/2/2010 16:12 | QS9 - I am unsure, Inflation HAS to rise, but I believe it will be end of Q2 before we see this happening. The amount of money pumped into the system just lends itself to rising inflation. This was seen in part by the increase to 3.8% of the producer price inflation rate. I think people who are forecasting this to fall back are wrong. To me safety first, hedge now, you have nothing to lose, longer term interest rates will not fall. gg | greengiant
06/2/2010 13:16 | QS9 agree. | soulsauce
06/2/2010 13:12 | Thanks GG for input, think this company has much much further to go once it gets rid of its mez...as for interest rates, catch up on some articles today, reckon static for 2010 given limp economic behaviour AND QE pulled, if they increase rates as well we really will be doomed! | qs9
05/2/2010 17:32 | egoi, Got it thanks. Will e-mail probably sometime Sunday. No problem at all. gg | greengiant
05/2/2010 16:48 | Gg that'd be fantastic; thanks for offering - only if you have time. And whether it's praise, or a virtual hatchet job, or anything inbetween, I'd welcome it! I prefer honesty to positivity for the sake of it, and I'm sure you'll be totally fair. Edit: thanks for below Gg! -:) | egoi
05/2/2010 16:36 | egoi, No problem, I will do some work on it this weekend for you. Where do you want me to post it? As far as fan goes, secret at the moment is just that Mezz debt - after that there should be no issues for the company, despite its still reasonably large debt pile. Needs to look at hedging its interest rates tho', interest rates will rise this year, no doubt. gg | greengiant
05/2/2010 16:04 | Posted this part of an earlier post in the wrong thread D'Oh! I think the deleting of the number of shares is potentially interesting for FAN too - Yes it may be purely bureaucratic, but my antenna senses they might be up to something this year. Gg while I'm here any further thoughts on Argyll? I'd really welcome any more detailed thoughts as I would like to add to my holding but given my 1.5% already, (a lot for me!) need to be confident! | egoi
05/2/2010 11:36 | About the only blue share in the city of London today.! | tara7
05/2/2010 09:30 | Just topped up with a few more. I feel there is only bad news priced in to the current share price The debt and the current mkt cap does not even cover what Dewynters is worth alone. | soulsauce
05/2/2010 09:21 | Tara - Standard for CA 2006. gg | greengiant
05/2/2010 09:19 | Just might be the 80M shares going to unlimited,!! New boys could be going for growth.? [RTO] | tara7
05/2/2010 09:14 | QS9 - Whilst I would agree that the assumption would be that FAN should have benefited enormously from the increase in attendances, there is one proviso. The number of new shows launched has reduced since the start of the recession. Therefore Dewynters would not have benefited from the pre production launch activities. However, I would assume that they have benefited from additional advertising spend to promote the shows that are all ready running. On another note, I have finished reading the new articles (too muchtime on my hands)and Tara i disagree with whatyou are trying to imply. The articles look fairly standard for a company adopting CA 2006. These are the highlights 1) Tons of stuff on Electronic communications 2) Bits changed to reflect trading on PLUS 3) Bits on Warrants 4) Lots on Proxies 5) Change in share capital from a max of 80m Ord shares that can be allotted to unlimited 6) Lots on change of name Really all pretty dull stuff. Now as regards sale of Footie Business. My guess remains that a VC backed management deal. What is important about this is the VC will want to get off to a flyer, so they will not want the quieter Jan window, but rather start off with the summer window. Hence the delay, so i subscribe to the thought that this process will happenshortly (within 2- 3 mnths) gg | greengiant
05/2/2010 09:00 | tsmith thanks for that. Don't forget SpotCo as well. | soulsauce
05/2/2010 08:43 | Yes , and more to the point if the west end is doing very well, investment is going into new shows. To me FAN should have cut costs big time and have a hold on broadway and the west end. | tara7
05/2/2010 08:35 | I go back to the Eve Standard report last week about theatre takings hitting an all time high. if that is so during height of recession then hopefully Dewynters has been making lots of £ss??! Thoughts? | qs9
05/2/2010 08:35 | Buyers paying the full offer now. | tara7
05/2/2010 08:14 | Blue today, as news is leaking out in the papers. | tara7
05/2/2010 08:09 | Thanks, just what we have been saying for weeks and months. Now why is the trading statement booked for the 12th and not a week prior like the past? What is hidden in the meeting later in the day,?. The football side could only be sold after the transfer window, or all hell would break lose. Action for sure me thinks. | tara7
05/2/2010 08:09 | It doesn't really say anything new. Dewynters was approached last year (or the year before - how time flies. The company is disposing its non core assets (which it has all ready stated). So it doesn't tell anyone anything extra to what is all ready known. All good tho' brings the value that is here to more people. Will be attending the EGM as I am in London that day. gg | greengiant |
