Watford Certainty no deal, because May will leave it until 31st Jan, it won't get voted through then about six weeks to do a deal, its a no deal brexit. Won't be a bad thing.

A possibility. Not sure how anyone can call it a certainty. I hope it is a certainty as that would mean the markets have already priced in.

Time running out, after last night, she won't get anything through parliament. A no deal looks a certainty. But we import 95 billion from EU and we export 65billion. They need us more.

Theresa May's Victory Is a Vote Against a No-Deal Brexit The confidence vote leaves the Brexiter wing of the Conservative party weaker, but the U.K. prime minister is still vulnerable. https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2018-12-12/theresa-may-s-victory-is-a-vote-against-a-no-deal-brexit

A no deal looks even more certain now. The vote will be voted down end of January. I think a major stock market correction in March.

Yes think she has a bit of momentum now and with a few concessions she has a chance of getting it through in January. I also think the fact that most people are basically fed up with the whole thing and just want it done with could work in her favour.

With 50 billion on the table a deal will be done. Most people expect to have a transition period. If no deal is done on the back stop it will cause a lot of problems with other countries in the eurozone. As with most deals it will go down to the wire.As it is at the moment, what she's got won't go through parliament. IMHO.

There will be suspension of Article 50 and a referendum within the next couple of months. Looks like the UK is too big to leave the EU

bobalot - it does not mean that the "deal" negotiated thus far will be delivered. I suspect that it will not stop the imbecile Corbyn seeking a vote of no confidence. My hunch is that, in the event of that happenning, the DUP and the conservative party WILL rally round in support (too much to lose) to defeat the motion. What this result DOES give IMO, to the PM is the authority to turn round to the negotiating team in Europe to let them know that her authority to govern is there, that the UK parliament does not like the deal proposed and that the UK is preparing for future relationship on WTO basis..... and the consequence is to walk away with the minimum of penalty.....oh, and what is this €50bn all about? Up day tomorrow is my hunch..... unless the mendacious stable genius makes some idiotic comment.

May has lost the support of 40% of her parliamentary party. Subtract those whose job depends on her being the status quo, and arguably she's lost all confidence. She should resign immediately.

Be amazed if she does not win tonight. Will probably strengthen her hand but she needs a lot more to get it through parliament.
