19/3/2024 10:07 | Your explanation of "bots" is simply incorrect. Scheduled algo strategies like vwap, twap and pov will send out hundreds of small slices during the day (depending on parameters). This is set by the execution trader as well as how much to allocate to the auction etc .. I know this because I did that job for 8 years | dplewis1
19/3/2024 10:04 | 60% of US Citizens own shares compared to the UK, also their Pension Funds have large holdings where's ours have virtually nil. They wouldn't dare short like the do here, it's easy money. We are at the mercy of Hedgies etc. Explain the massive premiums on Takeovers if you think otherwise? | isis
19/3/2024 09:47 | Dropping every day | blackhorse23
19/3/2024 09:45 | Isis - I just do not buy that argument. They may have a limited influence but it is basic supply and demand.Vodafone has been managed poorly over the years and that means there have been better places to put your money. That has led to a shareprice bring c30% of what it was when I started investing. Are you saying the bots and hedgies are not involved with Apple or Tesla and thT is why they have increased so much(until recently) | watfordhornet
19/3/2024 09:39 | Bot's are Algorithm trades set up by Hedgies and other dubious anonymities - we are alreadly at 2600 trades at 9.40 practically none of them bonafide buys or sells. | isis
19/3/2024 09:36 | Conspiracy twaddle.. what the hell is a bot and why would anyone let it control a market | dplewis1
19/3/2024 08:45 | It is rigged by Bots and Hedgies. It's pretty obvious. There should be an inquiry into market manipulation, it's just blatant. | isis
19/3/2024 08:43 | Why is it rigged? | watfordhornet
19/3/2024 08:39 | Nothing odd about a rigged market. | mw16
18/3/2024 23:18 | VOD & BT fell by almost exactly the same percentage 3.6% seems odd. | isis
18/3/2024 19:20 | You'd expect a rise on a big purchase like that. I wouldn't trust any share price moves in this market, totally controlled by BOTs and Hedgies. The recent huge premiums paid on Takeovers shows our market is not being correctly valued. It is also the reason that nearly ever LSE Company where possible are buying their own share back. | isis
18/3/2024 18:59 | Well another collapse in the share price today suggest that the market thinks Stellar Fail is all out of ideas. Her statement read: "Today, I am announcing the third and final step in the reshaping of our European operations." So basically, she had nothing left. She really needs to step aside let someone with appropriate skills take the helm. Luka Mucic must be pleased with the share performance. He's already down £58K on his share purchase. Not bad after two days, haha. | davius
18/3/2024 15:33 | No question it will go for a phase 2. The other telecoms, as you say, will object but frankly the objection of horizontal competitors is meaningfully less important. Its the perspective of vertical ie customers and suppliers are more influential. A phase 2 is always the assumption. The comme is alongside it will be instructive. | nash19
18/3/2024 14:24 | I am expecting it to go to phase 2 and another 6 months for a decision, you can guarantee the other Telcos will have objections lodged even though they themselves are the result of MnA.. Phase 1 merger investigation must be completed within 40 working days. The statutory deadline for this investigation is Friday 22 March 2024 If the CMA finds the merger could lead to a substantial lessening of competition, then it can refer it for a more in-depth Phase 2 merger investigation. Phase 2 investigations last between 24 and 32 weeks and are led by an independent panel of experts.. | laurence llewelyn binliner
18/3/2024 13:09 | In light of the CFO's large purchase, I've added to my position here too. Hopefully it will work out over the long term. | peterbill
18/3/2024 11:50 | The CMA phase one decision regarding the merger is due on Friday. Wonder if will be delayed? | stoopid
18/3/2024 11:46 | CMA phase one decision is due on Friday. Wonder if will be delayed? | stoopid
18/3/2024 11:32 | Day traders @rsing about for their 1p swings. | philanderer
18/3/2024 11:13 | Hardly going to move in a straight ! It's the trend change that's important and hopefully that set , bound to be more gyrations ofc | xcap1
18/3/2024 10:47 | You wonder why the CFO bought so many shares at that price. He must expect the price to rise | car1pet
18/3/2024 10:39 | Dog of the day again in my lot. | philanderer
18/3/2024 10:20 | Now what's going on?? This can only be traders making bucks at investors expense | prokartace
18/3/2024 09:59 | And it's the the CFO so hopefully he knows a bit about future free cash flows | xcap1
18/3/2024 09:59 | Correction, make that £35K down. | davius |
