11/12/2024 06:01 | Hi grabster, I attended last night and found the presentation, which was largely delivered by Dr Hodge, professional and factual - little new to those of us who are long-term followers, but a decent summary of recent RNS announcements and where the company is currently at. Here are a few jotted notes based on what I could hear: * monthly cash-burn has reduced from 228k to 128k (from 31/03/24, I think) * VRS is in discussions with 2 interested parties for Total Carbide sale - still early days * 1st AAC Cyroma instalment due this month - no reason to believe won't materialise * Korean MCK Tech has paid 362K of contracted sum with the delayed 242K + accrued interest due this month - MCK has plenty of projects/operations going on so VRS expects them to follow through on this * VRS currently employs 43 staff of which 21 are Total Carbide? * 5 mill. Innovate loan to start quarterly instalments in August 2025, though seems to be room to renegotiate this * In-house mortar testing equipment purchased and to be commissioned Jan '25 * Gnanomat in a position to apply for significant funding (from EU, I think) 4 main focuses ongoing: CEMENT - Various collaborative trials ongoing, including Traffic Wall trials and monitoring over 36 months. Newly purchased equipment will greatly enhance company's independent advance testing here 3DCP Project Accrington - 46 units in 5 blocks (3-storey blocks printed by robot) - consultancy role using VRS know-how - 1st project of its kind and could really establish VRS' 3 D concrete printing credentials here. Also, consulting/working on Birmingham China Town Gate to be delivered end 2025. GNANOMAT - producing 'GNANOCAPS' (to replace lithium ion batteries?) - less combustive and more ecologically-friendl GRAPHINKS - conductive inks in electronics with advanced recyclable properties. No new product lines with Umbro due to Umbro personnel change but other textile projects (Brazil?) going well Overall, I sensed a measured confidence in the team. There was much more but this is all I noted. Happy to be corrected on any points, as I did have a bit of background family noise going on! | senden11

10/12/2024 20:39 | Grabster - maybe they can provide a specification for the 'high-quality' graphene... This might interest people: | laginaneil
10/12/2024 20:22 | Wha - they supplying it by the palletload? Or is in 1000kg craned-off sacks? Tipper truck? They sound more like a coal merchant. Consistent high-quality graphene at scale Our plasma cracking process enables the consistent production of tonnes of high-quality graphene (Privately owned by FGV since 2022?) Not sure I would trust Pitchbook's descriptions judging by their description of Versarien | grabster
10/12/2024 20:14 | This outfit seems organised ... Levidian’s Graphene Auction The era of industrial-scale graphene production is here! To celebrate, Levidian is proud to launch its first ever graphene auction, allowing bidders to get priority access to tonnes of the most sustainable, high-quality and consistent graphene on the market, at a compelling price. We’re looking to engage forward-thinking end-users, or potential end-users, of graphene who are on a mission to disrupt their market, achieve competitive advantage and accelerate the path to net zero in the last five years of the ‘decade of impact’. | agaudry
10/12/2024 19:53 | couldn't watch live. Is it recorded? | grabster

10/12/2024 18:48 | So - How did the presentation go? Any exciting revelations? Anyone?? | grabster

10/12/2024 18:28 | pwhite - 'Exactly what is being distributed if no orders have been received.' which is my point exactly as in - why engage with a distributor and announce it if there are no projections? in general a distribution company buys products from the manufacturer and then resells them for a profit to a retailer or, in some cases, directly to the customer. and so my point is you would not engage with a distribution company unless there are sales opportunities. you dont work on what might happen in the future as distribution companies are about the here and now - so i am hoping for some numbers and some good news. | 1manchild
10/12/2024 17:24 | Concretene and Cementene are two different admixtures. Concretene is the use of graphene in concrete. Cementene is the use of graphene in cement. They are not in competition with one another. | pwhite73
10/12/2024 17:10 | Think concretene was out first and has been made for some trials with Versarien graphene / ink in it. | laginaneil
10/12/2024 16:57 | Consolidation is nothing but a con trick | festario
10/12/2024 16:28 | The price has to be kept low enough to entice sub-penny PIs to buy or MM won't support another placing. The nominal value is 0.010p the current price is 0.038p they don't really have the headroom to go on another year long dilution run without a consolidation. | pwhite73
10/12/2024 16:15 | Could someone ask at the webinar please why UOM/GEIC with such close ties to Versarien decided to put their weight behind concretene and not cementene? Thanks in advance 66 | 66sequoia
10/12/2024 16:07 | Not worth consolidating less than 5000 x (which at 0.036 takes it back to 180p) | grabster
10/12/2024 15:58 | The Cronk - "It's simply an advert to try and convince the gerbils to participate in the next placing." In my experience that is what all AIM/Small cap presentations are about. What is of paramount importance in this case is the direction of the share price after the presentation. If its still on a downward trajectory with every new placing then its game over. There is no point in hanging around until the company competes with SYME for the lowest priced share on the stock market. It might try to be clever and go for a consolidation on the grounds that - "the higher share price makes it more attractive to institutions". If the price wasn't attractive to institutions at 180p it certainly won't be attractive ten times higher than today at 0.36p. | pwhite73
10/12/2024 15:50 | Let's not kid ourselves, the 'presentation' is a puff piece interview, with soft questions, agreed beforehand, to reflect the company in the best possible light. It's simply an advert to try and convince the gerbils to participate in the next placing. | the cronk
10/12/2024 15:49 | " However once again new shares are not the concern for VRS shareholders its the future direction of the share price that is." Completely correct, every new issue of placing shares results in a lower share price. Are you hanging your hat on a .125p or higher placing price next time around? | the cronk
10/12/2024 15:10 | And talking of Brazil, how much material has Versarien sold and shipped to Montana I wonder. | grabster
10/12/2024 14:50 | Energy storage is a good area to be in right now but there's no shortage of players and systems involved. If that is one of the subjects being touted this evening the story needs to more than could be/might be. VRS recently upped its ownership of Gnanomat to 90%, so I am intrigued to see where the Spain/Brazil connection is going. | grabster |
