10/12/2024 12:08 | Ah yes, the famous olympic sled | grabster
10/12/2024 11:50 | RNS 11/05/2016 - "Versarien plc (AIM: VRS), the AIM quoted advanced engineering materials group is pleased to announce it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") with Bromley Technologies Ltd ("Bromley Technologies") to collaborate on the development of graphene enhanced carbon fibre products using Versarien's graphene nano platelets." Back then there was no commercial market for it. There is now. | pwhite73
10/12/2024 11:39 | grabster - I think it turned out to be the cases for a run of Richard Mille watches; as far as I remember the McLaren involvement was just a branding exercise, not functional at all. With the cost cap now in force in F1, use of graphene seems even more unlikely. | supernumerary
10/12/2024 11:25 | "A company in the business of deceiving shareholders does not issue NON-Regulatory announcements." That's exactly what it does but you are too dim to realise that. | kemche
10/12/2024 10:41 | Snaffleclamp - didn't Versarien already produce graphene enhanced carbon fibre for McLaren? (Another of the long list of collaborations). A search does bring up several Versarien mentions of graphene enhanced carbon fibre. Just didn't ever get far with it. As per. | grabster
10/12/2024 10:01 | The last two RNS announcements were NON-Regulatory meaning they had no material impact on the company and that no public notification was given of their announcement. A company in the business of deceiving shareholders does not issue NON-Regulatory announcements. Lets see what they have to say tonight. | pwhite73
10/12/2024 09:53 | Grabster, Good thought, LOL! It could become to RNS writing what 'googling' is to searching on the web. Maybe they could charge a royalty every time it's used? | the cronk
10/12/2024 09:47 | Could 'versarien' become an adjective, related to the particular activity of positioning announcements to best effect? "The timing of Company B's announcement was somewhat versarien." versarienism - the art of stringing along with minimal substance versarienist - someone practising versarienism versarienish - kinda like stretching a point | grabster
10/12/2024 09:03 | Regarding the noises via RNS's, this is their good old tactic to trick innocents since 2012. Cunning NR was an expert in tweeting "you ain't seen nothing yet" messages from golf courses. Today, there is a full time "RNS Expert Engineer" researching every trick in the trade to lay a deceptive RNS - ideally every morning. | fuji99
10/12/2024 08:58 | What does it "produce" to be able to "distribute" anything for any application ? Then, how many grammes does it need to sell to earn £100 ? A monkey business will always yield nothing. | fuji99
10/12/2024 01:22 | Yes that came out of the blue, who would have thought it? And it all starts in a field in Accrington Stanley!! | the cronk
09/12/2024 16:56 | Well it's had part of its intended effect I guess - in that the top Versarien headlines on a Google News search are "Versarien signs distribution agreement with ABC to market graphene-based biosensors" (DirectorsTalk Interviews) "Graphene specialist agrees European deal for biosensor chip." (TheBusinessDesk) "Versarien Partners To Launch Graphene Biosensors In Europe." (TipRanks) "Versarien enters biosensor distribution deal." (Investig, com) Versarien searches on G/News are predominantly positive Similar in news searches on financial news sites. | grabster
09/12/2024 15:36 | "Told you before VRS are at the start of the global revolution in the commercial use of graphene." Haven't heard that before. Thanks. Good to know. | kemche
09/12/2024 15:22 | I would ban RNS Reach announcements. These are announcements that are not deemed by a Nomad or advisor to be price sensitive, ones that do not flick the revenue dial more than an iota. So, they cannot go out as an RNS but must be a Reach, a marketing communication. Thus, companies such as Versarien (VRS) use them to ramp the shares with non news, believing (rightly) that their investors are too stupid to know what is going on. | bbmsionlypostafter mk2

09/12/2024 14:16 | We will all find out tomorrow evening for certain. | pwhite73
09/12/2024 14:11 | 'The live issue is are they making commercial progress?' This is a dead issue. They're going backwards - time, money and opportunity are disappearing. | supernumerary
09/12/2024 13:13 | zydecoco - "Any change to existing medical devices have to go through “Change Control” This is not true. Medical devices fall into various classifications where some require approval and others don't. For example there are normally three main categories. 1. Devices that are not intrusive like a Bunsen Burner or biosensor in VRS/ABC case. They do not require approval. 2. Devices that are semi-intrusive like a hypodermic needle or a body thermometer. These require some approval 3. Devices that are fully intrusive like a heart pacemaker. These all require approval. There are one or two exceptions but those are the general rules. | pwhite73
09/12/2024 12:56 | Supernumeracy: "Medical devices need approval. Come back in five+ years. " And PW, "They are not making medical devices they are making graphene transistors that can be used in a range of medical and other electronic devices that already have approval."Any change to existing medical devices have to go through "Change Control" which requires approval. these take AGES, and are prioritised by Manufacturers of Devices due to capacity constraints for auditable processing, and by Approvers due to Clinical Need. Many simply sit in a queue and do not even get done. Much more likely any such Graphene chips end up in new devices which require the 5+ tear approval. | zydecoco
09/12/2024 12:15 | The news is spreading. "Graphene specialist Versarien has agreed a deal to distribute a new biosensor chip across Europe which is hoped to be the first in a range of sensor products developed on a new platform technology." | pwhite73 |
