27/7/2020 15:51 | Last time I invested in a company that was more about the loan than it was about the sales the company went bust, or whatever they went into, felt very scammy towards the end. Koovs - CEO also linked to the gov in one way or another. Just connecting the dots.Pretty toxic chat on these threads also, been dipping in and out for a while. Sometimes look at the first few bits of dialogue and just think toxic. Wish VRS + pis all the best. But feel sales are longggg over due, or at least some solid news that brings confidence back to the company and investors. A lot of pie in the sky chat at the moment. Need some solid, #sales. Hold - 108p | 46maxon
27/7/2020 15:47 | why take the p out of penta. he may be a troll but he expresses the feelings of many holders i still have confidence in nr but it is not comfortable seeing my 120k investment fall to 35 - especially at my age i still work full time and earn a lot of money but my investment in vrs has delayed my retirement by at least two years - assuming the mou come to orders in that time and the share price is where it should be, and will be in 5 years. in 5 years my dribble will be running colder. | adejuk
27/7/2020 15:47 | There really are some horrible people involved with this share on both sides. I've been open and honest here. I've always said that China is key and I expected exponential growth there. Instead we go no deal and a government loan which frankly is far too small and over too long a time period to make a difference in a multi-billion dollar industry. | pentacosttempleton
27/7/2020 15:40 | Pentacost/ Tom. In bits here; my thoughts are with you and your family. Had you actually owned any shares, I would probably be on the brink of suicide. I suppose this will be the last time we hear from you? | richgrumpa
27/7/2020 15:35 | He was here for 50 days, hence the name. Now the monetary re-invigoration can commence from on high...or low. | vice versa

27/7/2020 15:24 | I'm sorry to report that I sold the rest of my Versarien shares today at 35p. I've totally sold out now and have taken a huge loss. Strangely although a lot poorer it is quite a relief as I just could not take the stress of seeing the price go down to 25p or lower again. With the price at 34p Versarien are effectively selling shares at 25.5p now via Lanstead which I could have just about stomached if they had given a proper explanation of what happened in China but none was provided. I didn't invest in a small Cheltenham based engineering firm but instead I wanted to see great British innovation spread throughout China making billions of sales. Hopefully that will still happen and if it does ill buy back in. Right now, without any proper news update, I simply can't risk seeing all my investment evaporate. Good luck to those with more nerve hopefully fortune favours the brave. | pentacosttempleton

27/7/2020 15:00 | i had thought someone was building a position but i think, now, that one of the takers at 140 has had enough. | adejuk
27/7/2020 14:59 | and so we make our way, inexorably, to 30p | adejuk
27/7/2020 14:53 | Hello Tim, Anley not so sly - obvious to a lot on this board.. | laginaneil

27/7/2020 14:43 | Not exactly an eye-opener, Ansley, having been involved in finance for a large chunk of my working life; and your not-so-hidden agenda here remains for all to see. Thanks for the 'help' though... | richgrumpa
27/7/2020 14:27 | RICHGRUMPS.......I am so sorry to tell you that companies who have a quotation on a stock exchange are valued on a number of criteria..... If there is something within a Balance Sheet that makes you uneasy, there may be other issues lurking below the water line that need looking at. That is the case for me. If you have not read and studied "The Signs were There" by Tim Steer then may I suggest you buy the book. Back to VRS - in 2017 you could have bought these shares at say 12p and then if you had sold them at the top then the price had risen to 1.80p ...... then perhaps the market realised that this was a company not worth this value and shareholders have since taken it down to say 35p at which level the market still values this company at £60,000,000. The question now is: Is VRS worth £60m and if not what is the true value based on its Balance Sheet and future expectations........ I hope this helps............... | anley
27/7/2020 14:14 | Seems to be a large buy order being filled at 35p | tim3416
27/7/2020 14:11 | "Sales imminent?"....yes, hence... 01 Jul 2020 the £5 million Loan to Versarien, specifically for a project named G SCALE, (an acronym for Graphene-Seat, Concrete, Arch, Leisure, Elastomer) which is designed to enable Versarien to significantly increase its manufacture of quality assured graphene. | jointer13
27/7/2020 14:10 | I think it would take someone with a lot of guts to buy into this now. I got out around 100p Mark. Even at that point I felt there were a lot of empty promises and broad speculation. I wish holders all the best but I fear this is only going one way long term. | tricky red
27/7/2020 13:20 | Ansley, why the ongoing obsession with the balance sheet; an historical snapshot of a business, usually many months in the past. You cannot value Versarien and it's vast potential by pawing over historic figures in such a fast-moving and ground-breaking industry. I admit that there is a lot of 'hope value' here, which I find particularly exciting, as, no doubt, do most people on this board, and I am more than happy to be long and strong here for as long as it takes. 27/7/2020 13:10 | I'm sure everyone has views on the US, Russia, China, India and the EU. It makes for novel and ingenious ways to trade below the conflict lines and within the realms of protection. I'm sure with the folk onboard there is an understanding of who has what and how and when. It won't stop business. | fireball xl5 |
