Seeing that the poor fellow is doing overtime, it's worth posting the serial again for balance on this board, and for those who might have missed it:

Encounters with Stench

Part 1
As he approached the gaunt figure of Bog Glory bent over the chair peering at the computer screen, a curious stench wafted into his nostrils. Taking a few steps closer, the disgusting odour became unbearable, and he was, for some strange reason, keenly reminded of traits that might belong to some seedy character of the underworld. He sensed a noxious and unpleasant taste in the thick air, and felt he was in the presence of pure greed and unbridled dishonesty.

Quickly, he turned away realising the folly and danger of engaging or associating with this dark and depressing figure. In an instant, his mind was made up never again to have any dealings or communication with this pathetic and dangerous individual.

Some days later, sipping a comforting brew of his favourite coffee, his mind wandered and turned to muse over his disturbing encounter with Bog Glory. It occurred to him that perhaps he might have been too hasty in condemning the poor fellow. Despite the sultry heat of the oppressive afternoon, he made his way to the shanty area where Bog Glory occupied a tiny office. He was hoping, although deep inside he knew it was a vain hope, that the stench emanating from the fellow might have eased.

As soon as he stepped out of his car onto the cobbled pavement, he realised that the same familiar stench was still there, even more pungent than before. The disgusting odour hung heavily on the air, almost like a welcome signal to signpost the street where Bog lived. He noticed what sounded like voices breaking the oppressive stillness of the air. With a heavy heart, he started to walk in the direction where Bog’s office was located.

He had only walked a short distance when it became apparent that the noise was coming from a commotion between a group of perhaps six or seven people who seemed to be having some kind of heated argument. He noticed that the figure wearing a dirty and crumpled trench coat was that of Bog Glory. He stood there for some time and listened to their animated conversation, trying to make sense of some of the arguments put forward by Bog to support his stance.

The longer he stood there and the more he heard, it became utterly apparent that Bog’s arguments were based on untruths and carefully crafted and reasonable sounding questions designed to cast doubt into the minds of his unsuspecting victims. He felt nothing but sympathy for these people who were wasting their valuable time engaging with this dangerous character. There was no doubt, the clarity of this observation surfaced in his mind like an immutable mountain, the fellow Bog was a scoundrel, a man who would never desist from using any means at his disposal to swindle his fellow man. Perhaps there have to be some villains in this world, he wondered as he walked away from the stench and back towards his car....

Part 2
It was a great relief to be spending time at the country retreat he had booked earlier in the year, and the fresh air natural beauty surrounding him helped clear his mind of the nasty Bog Glory stench that had permeated into his being. But this respite from froth of unfounded falsehoods was short-lived. He was reading the local paper when he stumbled upon a small news snippet in the financial section, a story that caused the spectre of Bog Glory surrounded by a haze of malicious self-serving greed once again to rear its ugly head in his mind. The article pretty much accused Bog Glory of lying on a Quadrise Fuels bulletin board and tried to shed light on how Bog Glory operated.

Apparently, after putting out a post protesting “I was even accused of being short” (post 44241) on the 'Quadrise Fuels' board, and the declaring in another post “I have a long position in QFI” (post 44244), the wretched specimen of the human race had then immediately followed these posts with a barrage of negative comments. It was clear that the purpose of these comments was nothing more than to drive down the share price of the company. He had even insinuated that Mike Kirk, the executive chairman of Quadrise Fuels, was a liar (post 44305)! The question being asked was if Bog was a long-term holder, why had he suddenly turned and become such a nasty anti-Qundrise proponent? Speculation was that he had never been, nor currently was, a holder of QFI shares, quite the opposite, he was shorting QFI and was now intent on driving down the share price down by any method, fair or foul.

The article also stated that amazingly, Bog had the audacity to insist that other shareholders to do his dirty bidding for him: “can one of you bulls arrange another conference call so I can talk to Michael Kirk again?” (post 44400). Somehow, these revelations in the press no longer surprised him, leaving him a little angry that people like Bog, people who believed it was their birthright to profit by deception, false propaganda, and at the expense of others, still existed. It was gloomy to reflect on how deep the bile of corruption had entered into the likes of Bog. Bog, it was clear to see, was more than happy to argue that grass was blue and try to convince all others that it was blue, and anybody trying to reason with the trickster, or arguing otherwise was basically farting against thunder. He was forever intent on constantly producing negative posts, not for his own benefit since he didn’t hold any shares in the company he happened to be trashing. He claimed to be doing this to save all genuine shareholders from their own poor judgement.

The sun outside was beginning to set and the evening light had taken on a faint golden hue. Breathing in the freshness of the pine trees outside, he tried to become one with the serenity of nature around him. It occurred to him that perhaps Bog was much cleverer at his game than people gave him credit for. After all the years of practice, he had perfected his dark art and the ability to get a lot of people on bulletin boards to dance like puppets on a string! His usual method was to pick a nice worm, dangle it on the bulletin board, and more than a few people took the bait. Even those who could see the game being played by Bog were not able to resist engaging with this corpulent and shameless character.

He poured himself a drink and, shaking his mind from the thoughts of Bog, looked through the window at the setting sun as the soft breeze flowing through the pine trees wafted through the room, carrying with it a ray of hope and optimism...

Mav, I'd disagree as it is quite possible to hold shares and be negative towards them. Primarily AIM is about getting the one deal over the line to prove worth which will be reflected in the share price. Nothing is certain so at any stage in time you may 99.99 certain you've invested wisely all the way down to 0.1% based on news. I'd assume most people adjust their holdings accordingly, for sake of argument call it keeping a core holding and your adjustment trading pot. At this moment in time my core holding is around 30,000 shares but my trading pot is zero simply because the lack of news against prior expectations created isn't being delivered. I made a post about the Manchester visit last year, regarding timing and news delivery (said expect a year and wish it'd be toned down a little)and share price volatility, from memory said could be 50% lower. Well here we are delivery still hasn't arrived and we've gone to radio silence, as a result share price is heading towards the stage where I have to consider my core holding and preserving capital. My opinion is Mgmt have not handled the flow of news particularly well, I appreciate some of the stuff posted is garbage but others I do feel are worthy of a response. I am however not going to repeat this message ad-infinitum but I could understand if people do. Hope that makes sense, I hold but I'm negative because the quality of information flow from the company is not up to my expectations following the environment which they themselves created back end 2018 / 19 and I think they should address this.

Watch for that 70.5p line being touched again. It has been pressurised a number of times now on the chart. If it fails support fails and it goes to the 60s. I have a feeling that will be capitulation point.

Just playing with PI minds unfortunately some succumb to the tactics mavfav then off they go to another share and lose there, wouldn't be surprised if they buy and dump to put the pressure on at times , just devious rubbish .

In the meantime patience gives rewards and so do overdone drops, feels like a pressure of steam building up on the positive side, the naysayers and sellers are running out of it and running on droplets lol.

The big problem with VRS will be time, when your losses are growing and your sales are stagnating. It is not the technology or the product.

RNS, doubt it, looking more for some indication from the Government supporting the graphene industry, those who want to sell will sell and those who want to buy will buy but will reiterate that any good book will tell you don't sell on a low however it is a personal choice, good luck on whatever your decide or have decided to do.

I do however wonder how close the 15% is. 😁

Down in Swampsville Bog Glory and Sleazy Brent had heard the music coming from the hill and decided to investigate. On getting closer they could hear that many of the
men had over indulged in drink so they decided that a dawn raid might be productive and went to round up what was left of their men.

The camp was now very crowded with tents which were an easy target for their fire arrows. The Banditos crept up on their bellies well away from any of the watch towers which had now been built along certain parts of the stockade, unleashed dozens of fire arrows and then legged it quickly back to Swampsville.

When the night watchmen sounded their bugles utter mayhem broke out in the camp as the officers quickly tried to wake their men to fight the fires. Once things were under control the General called his officers to a meeting. Subsequently the printers got to work preparing some posters which would be put up in Swampsville later that day.It was time to counter the enemy's propaganda machine.....

RTG, the point of a bet is see if you believe what you write or are just desperately trying to support the price so you can sell and get out.

The fact I'm prepared to put the cash in escrow today for anyone wishing to take the other side is proof my words are backed with cash. The fact none of the bulls (or Neill) will take the other side shows that despite reams of waffle none of you believe in it enough to back your words with cash.

Of course one other way for Neill to show he believes what he says is to buy a meaningful number of VRS shares instead he sells large tranches into the market.

I'm surprised Neill hasn't even made a token gesture £50k purchase. I expect he'll try that soon but the market will want to see something a lot more material. It would create a temporary spike however.

loglorry1, share price peaked even well before BIGT. Surely, it is not priced in. Just one picture of CL on a china website saw shares surged 20p+.

When it really happens, it will regain all paper losses. Company know what it needs to do. Like every company, if it does good, it will be visible. Risk Reward is surely on bulls side from here. As investors, we have timelines and we shall stick to it, not what people like you tell us. I will prefer to stick to my own analysis.

Loglorry1, you keep going on about taking a bet on whether BIGT will happen by x date. If you actually review the RNSs on this matter, you will note that an additional opportunity has arisen in China where Versarien has signed a heads of terms with JBG to form a manufacturing joint venture located in Shangdong.

This could be huge and whilst BIGT continues to progress, its difficult to determine which of these Versarien will prioritise at this time.

It would be therefore unwise to gamble on which deal will land first. All I know is that Versarien will ensure the deals will be right for the company and shareholders. It is fantastic that Versarien has multiple options for game changing opportunities in China and holding the cards to make the decision.

In case you missed it in the Interims:
“We have also signed a non-binding term sheet with the intention of setting up manufacturing in Shangdong. under a joint venture between Versarien and Jinan Bo Guan Building Engineering with controlling ownership residing with Versarien. JBG would, together with associates, be responsible for the construction of a graphene valley park over a three-year period and JBG have expressed an interest in taking a strategic investment stake in Versarien as part of any transaction.”

posted earlier.

vrs is not about what has been sold in the past...its about what we sell from now on in.
all in place for that now...them that understand the company will know what I mean.

"Absolute bargain when vrs bought 2D Tech doing half a gram a day and now can
achieve 3 tonnes/year and more modular, China wants it and would pay millions for it.

Cambridge graphene was too with Andrea Ferrari and the ink method, amazing coup in the light of the MAS interest and of course everyone that they deal with."

fully agree an absolute bargain...but had to be worked on.

this from over a year ago.....

in 2 years production has increased a 1000 fold...and kept the same purity/quality.

Plans are in place to: > install larger machines capable of producing tens of kg/day > use multiple machines to meet higher demand.

20th july 2018

The Company is pleased to announce the appointments of Dr Denis Koltsov and Dr Martin Kemp to strengthen its graphene technology team, with a particular focus on quality assurance. Both Dr Kemp and Dr Kolsov are at the forefront of developing the international standards that will define graphene and other nanomaterials.

1st april 2019

Completion of Verified Graphene Producer Programme... (only company on the planet to have achieved it)
Successful commercialisation of graphene materials requires not only the ability to produce graphene to a declared specification, but to be able to do so at a commercial scale.

you can see how things have had to be put in place to meet commercial demand.....global commercial demand.

now at the stage of major negotiations... orders could drop anytime. (hence the frenzy of some)

you would think there was a plan in place.

"absolute bargain"

I stand by my £2 billion plus...if it were to be sold tomorrow.

Decent point, you'll note that not only didn't Neill take the bet but he's also not prepared to spend even £10,000 on shares. He's taken millions out of VRS and so it's very likely he has a spare £10k.

--------

So if I had 10k spare why waste it on log stupid bet where i can only win 10k tops( assuming he is honest) on a bigt deal when I can buy 13000 vrs shares with a massive plus side.

ashehzi,

I have never asked who AECOM are. Why are you changing the subject?

I am saying that I am 100% confident that the BIGT investment will not happen in anything like the way expected or described, and I suspect that others know too - that's why they won't take my bet.

How do you think the shares will react if VRS actually releases an RNS stating that the whole thing has been a sham? I suspect that's even less likely, though - better to just hope everyone forgets about it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Call/contact AECOM. Did you? I did at least on linkedin. Don't tell me "Who are AECOM?"
