29/1/2020 08:54 | Yeah yeah, we know the arch is great. So when will the acual ORDER be placed? You know - orders, revenues? I know how y'all hate talking about money, but that's why we're all here... | ![]() club sandwich
29/1/2020 08:51 | Lots of interesting discussions around it Andy but the US has been slow to move on 5G and quite simply the UK is not going to spend billions to please the US . Apparently total bunkum about the hacking etc; it all goes on whatever happens and the US hacked Merkels phone, seems they are worried about falling behind. They need to catch up and keep up with everything and no use crying wolf now. | ![]() luckyorange
29/1/2020 08:48 | rtg… aecom arch looking good. "Aecom has built a 3D-printed arch from a graphene-reinforced polymer, designed to bring down the cost associated with installing digital signalling systems on transport networks. The 4.5m-high arch sits over rail tracks and eliminates the need to attach new digital equipment to existing infrastructure. Aecom employees developed the technology to replace the traditional bolt and screws method of deploying digital systems in tunnels, which takes four shifts to install. The CNCTArch only takes one shift to install and doesn’t bolt to any existing infrastructure. It can be used in both tunnels and open environments. It was developed by a UK-based Aecom team as part of the company’s Global Challenge, an internal competition for entrepreneurial proposals that deliver technical solutions to complex problems. CNCTArch was one of 10 finalists in the 2018 competition out of more than 700 entries. The company has partnered with UK engineering firm SME Scaled to develop the detailed design and prototypes of the CNCTArch using large-scale 3D printing techniques. SME Scaled uses its 3D printer, one of the largest in Europe, to print the product in the new graphene-reinforced polymer, which is supplied by Aecom’s materials partner Versarien." h""p://www.construct | ![]() jointer13

29/1/2020 08:47 | Polygrene, which I believe is the polymer used in the arch, shows how Versarien have moved themselves up the supply chain as well. It enables them to supply a ready to use polymer rather than the customer having to create their own. Smart move. | ![]() tini5
29/1/2020 08:45 | Roger, this has to be one of the most amazing achievements that has not been priced in...To have it declared that Versarien is AECOM's"materials partner" and not see a sustained effect on the share price is really quite absurd. "to print the product in the new graphene-reinforced polymer, which is supplied by Aecom’s materials partner Versarien. A UK-based advanced engineering materials group, Versarien has developed and manufactures the graphene material for CNCTArch." | ![]() woodpeckers

29/1/2020 08:36 | I see the US have sent Pompeo here today to try and dissuade Boris. I hope he stands strong, they seem obsessed with stopping Huawei at all costs, but we have to keep in the middle ground to avoid upsetting our relations with China. I would imagine this decision effects many Chinese / UK deals. | ![]() andy
29/1/2020 08:32 | 14. Collaboration with Aecom and the Arch At the end of August 2018, Versarien signed a collaboration agreement with Aecom (a Fortune 500 company, that is doing very well itself at the mo). The collaboration would initial be working on a project involving the incorporation of Nanene into large- scale polymer structures used in civil infrastructure projects, with a view to increasing their structural strength. We now know that is the Aecom Arch, with Aecom Masts and Concrete in the hopper. In less than a year, Versarien and Aecom were able to design and produce a full scale prototype of the CNCTArch. This is the first 3D printed Graphene structure produced for industrial application. Less than a year! That’s truly incredible. What’s more, I understand that they had hoped to launch the arch even earlier but there were some unavoidable delays. It is rumoured that testing has now completed. Next step will presumably be commericalisation. We know all about the Arch and the potential. It is designed to drive down the costs to install digital signalling systems on transport networks. As per Aecom's publication "The concept was developed in response to Transport for London’s need to address difficulties with the 4-Lines Modernization Program (4LM) around the cost and time of digitising the signalling systems on their networks." So its very likely to be used on the London Underground for the very large 4LM programme which seems to be a priority for the UKGov, before being used more widely around the UK and the Globe. Are New York and China probable candidates? The arch won an award at Aecom for innovation. It’s a game changer, they know it, we know it, and yet it is not priced in at the moment? Ticking bomb imo Not priced in! | ![]() rogerthegrouch

29/1/2020 08:06 | Once a critical mass of posters stop rising to it, then I'll be back to using the filter, L.O. Until then if there's one thing more boring than an endless stream of unsubstantiated negativity, it's a stream of responses without seeing the original agent provocateurs' instigating points. | vice versa

29/1/2020 08:02 | "This board is becoming ridiculously polarised" I wonder why that could be? Something to do with chronic non-delivery, perhaps? | ![]() club sandwich
29/1/2020 07:56 | But they repeat the same thing time after time , nothing new , nothing different VV it is tedious and boring. Don't know about the back slapping but I do like the reminders as the focus seems to be honed down to one or two things and the rest gets forgotten even though it is all there in black and white . The header is a good reminder but I think most just scroll past it. | ![]() luckyorange
29/1/2020 07:34 | There seems to be some debate regarding my recent posts. The point of these are to purely explain what has happened since the last time we were at 74p. These should serve as a reminder to all (and indeed myself) of just how much Versarien has accomplished. Reminding not ramping. They should spark debate. I personally hope any new-comer visiting this board sees one of my posts rather than a derogatory comment about Neill. They’re more likely to scratch a bit deeper, rather than run a mile. Whether you believe all these things should be price in or not, is up to you. The fact remains that they are NOT priced in. The market tends to value things 10y in the future. I personally believe that all of the collaborations would have come to fruition by then so should be priced. Of course priced in but less risk, but that shouldn’t be not at all imo. A few may fail, fall apart. That’s expected hence ‘less risk’. Good job there are so many in play. Please use filter if you don’t want reminders of the great journey and accomplishments to date. There is still an awful lot not priced in so I shall be continuing. I did warn it would take days. Be happy folks, enjoy the ride. | ![]() rogerthegrouch
29/1/2020 07:31 | L.O., at the risk of sounding like an echo chamber, I was exactly in your camp. But then I found myself reading post after post responding & wanted to see exactly what had been said, otherwise it does become just a mutual back-slapping, tick-scoring, self-congratulatory club. Until recently, I did not filter anyone, then I did, now I only filter the mass of irrelevant to V.R.S. posts. It is a personal decision. | vice versa
29/1/2020 07:18 | I didn't used to filter anyone VV but it does make for easier reading instead of going through the nonsense repetitive posts and really do recommend it once filtered they stay filtered it is easy to do. | ![]() luckyorange |
