13/1/2020 15:29 | I don't accept the nonsensical argument put forward by our resident naysayers, that a falling price in the market for low-grade carbon derivatives dictates the price that can be charged for top grade graphene. That's like arguing that. in the existing carbon market, the market price for coal dictates the price of diamonds. | ![]() grabster

13/1/2020 15:25 | To the likes of Club and a handful of other PI's whinging about the length of time it takes to move from collaboration to significant commercial sales, you need take a read of the following: If companies want things done right, the process of collaboration, formulating, prototyping, scale up, manufacturing and end sales can take many many months, given the almost endless number of potential formulations to test, evaluate and consider all of which may be unfamiliar territory for some companies involved due to a lack of historic data. Most of the processes will be out of VRS control and the types of major global companies VRS are dealing with, won't leave anything to chance and can afford to go through each step of the process in fine detail. There's no doubt many companies VRS are dealing with will be slow to progress matters, either due to caution and increased diligence, or because of inevitable bureaucracy and compliance that is ever present within global businesses. However, that said, it's impressive how much progress VRS has made towards commercialisation with proven products ready to launch (Aecom Arch, aircraft seat components for example) or solutions that are proven and moving quickly towards commercialisation, such as the sportswear. Everyone is impatient for sales to varying degrees, but when you fully appreciate the processes and organisations involved, and the importance of accreditation as part of these processes and the VRS selection criteria, then you become more relaxed. If for example Nike are the end sportswear brand (as appears highly likely), even after testing has completed, they will still have further internal timelines for any new branding, marketing and placement campaigns, with orders to coincide with a future launch date, with further planned ramp up in orders (post initial launch) planned for the expected wider mass market demand. | schmally
13/1/2020 15:05 | So C'mon @superg why not come out and just say it if you think it is true. Is it your position that all other (than VRS) GnP graphene producers are lying and selling fake graphene which has no commercial application e.g. it doesn't work? If that's your position why not just say so? | ![]() loglorry1
13/1/2020 14:53 | Tim, as always, I only posted because I was mentioned by name... and I really hoped to get more than 78p for my family's shares. So yes, it is being dragged out. | ![]() festario
13/1/2020 14:52 | J1nx Just stated looking Why build and start production on 10.000 tonne unit, when the demand is not there. Do you realise graphene does not travel well and has a shelf life. 30 seconds in and I'm in wtf mode that can't be right, just saying. Reads like Talga all over again when they started, they said 7000 tonnes. | ![]() superg1
13/1/2020 14:49 | Hey j1nxed, there was a bit of a clue with Talga when they said they had 'mined' some graphene and showed a pic of two guys in overalls filling a couple of buckets, I don't know whether that was their idea of mining but it was funny and may have read it wrongly at the time. Good to see your view on Talga as they changed from mining gold in Oz to raising a load of money in Europe for graphite reserves , to be fair the Directors have done well from that but surely it can't last in its current form? | ![]() luckyorange
13/1/2020 14:48 | BTW the £D one I go on about drop 50 times in value, I did try to warn them. They were trading a patent as production when it was simply a separation method which is nothing to do with layer separation. Aided by the directors with their misunderstanding | ![]() superg1
13/1/2020 14:47 | Well you missed your chance about 30 mins ago Festario when it was again possible to sell 160k at 78.12..,that has changed now I admit. Anyone would think you didn't want to sell them or were just dragging it out for attention lol :-) | tim3416
13/1/2020 14:43 | j1nxed I'll look then up but I know what the end result will be, it always is. £D did the same and that guy was the only honest response I have had from such companies. The Graphite mining boom was years ago, I warned against it. *0 n% of the market was covered by just 3 countries, mainly China. The entire market was just over 1 mill tonnes. 50 plus graphite miners appeared on the ASX TSX, 1 uk (Stratmin and so on). With claims that would cover the entire market and more. It was never going to happen. They grabbed dormant mines saying best in world. EG FGR grabbed vein/lump in Sri Lanka. News is tough to find hidden way under another name, the plan was 100's of tonnes but due to thin veins mine flooding and so on they got to about 180 tonnes in a year, it was a disaster. Then up popped the graphene (I'll say no more) Talga got a high grade mine too, they have other facts. There is a market for multi-layer but it's no the graphene market. The Talga CEO claimed Manchester told him he had the best graphene in the world. despite engagement he rushed to say who said it for it to be verified (funny that). Talga do have fingers in pies, but different pies to VRS. | ![]() superg1

13/1/2020 14:33 | @superg1 I somewhat disagree with you that it came down to graphene vs graphite. I think it comes down to the classic mistake of controlling well to head so to speak. They portrayed themself as a mix between a miner and a graphene producer, they also focused on Cobalt when it became the new hot commodity... Talga is all over the place which is a pretty big red flag imo. The have tried to work on too many projects (mining, battery anodes, Cobalt, graphene) on a limited budget, stretching them thin in the process. Talga has shown that their product did yield interesting results (as had everyone that produces it) what they haven't shown is any commercial quantities. They have yet to get permits for a commercial scale mining operation. The fact that they did not produce "graphene" was only part of the problem Nanoxplore have been consistent from the start and holds patents for production while also securing an end user as a corner investor .. plus.. raising capital to build their plant | ![]() j1nxed
13/1/2020 14:33 | Bish04, lets be absolutely clear on this...I sold my own holding in VRS due to becoming entirely disillusioned with the company.I am in the process of selling my family member's holdings, or trying to... due to our CEO's injudicious use of private chat rooms to converse with selected shareholders. It was the final straw as far as I'm concerned.I wish the rest of you good luck, as I'm sick of watching people lose money on AIM. | ![]() festario
13/1/2020 14:07 | We are , we must be , nearer commercialisation now than a year ago when this briefly traded at 190 plus. I recall that well I was on a great holiday in Transylvania, surprised to find it exists.I think that was before the "RNS per day" period. Now we have 1 in 5 of the biggies done and 40 significant to come.So why the long term slow drift downwards.China, in a word. Were it done , we'd be away.It is not necessary but it would be sufficient to reverse the trend.Otherwise we need a cumulative flow of revenue associated deals. Then we can look forward to non news days when the share price rises. All this a glimpse of the obvious. We're nearer but it feels less exciting. | ![]() alchemy

13/1/2020 14:03 | Tmoon I have ticked all the available boxes I think that was an add on link and I forget who sent it to me. Just for the record (which is for guys close to me). Very confident here of some spectacular things on the way short term. I have no need to hold but I'm buying what I can as it drops. Sellers don't know what I know, they don't do the research I do. No naysayer can scare me into selling they haven't got a clue. I forgot who mentioned SBS. No I do not have single share in VRS related to gearing or in any SB account. All is ISA or share accounts. I have never done, or ever will use CFDs. I don't spend money hoping I can cover it next week. | ![]() superg1
13/1/2020 13:59 | Yes the chart along side the mega ramp was a perfect example of how investor have been sucked in to buying Versarien at a valuation way ahead where it should be and are now paying the price. Bring it back please. | ![]() loglorry1 |
