09/11/2019 16:19 | I suspect that VRS's carbon hexagon based products are currently too expensive and in too short supply (the two are linked of course) to warrant much of a share price rise in the short to mid-term. I hope to be proved wrong. | metis20
09/11/2019 16:15 | Ahhh, so the impression I'm getting is that a few ex investors and traders on here think that their view is important, mine isn't and theirs isn't, sentiment is. Sometimes you need to look at the bigger picture regarding sentiment and with the Chinese Government promoting Versarien last week as a partner in the press in the graphene space may have a bearing on that . If people can't work out what the impact of that will be then there is no hope for them in any share that they invest in lol. | luckyorange
09/11/2019 16:11 | Any reason why you are not invested? | 1teepee
09/11/2019 16:05 | Good points Festario - (currently I neither hold nor am I shorting VRS but watching with great interest - and occasionally commenting). | metis20
09/11/2019 15:59 | Charting isn't a science it is based on probability, and no , news isn't critical for charts, sentiment is. | luckyorange
09/11/2019 15:40 | News is critical, Festario. | high park
09/11/2019 15:29 | We had a long pennant at 180p, We had another long pennant at 130p.Both resolved to the downside as no news came to support them. It was the same in QFI and IOF.I hope this latest VRS one will be different, but it won't happen magically on its own, it will resolve as a result of news. | festario
09/11/2019 15:05 | Plus the other two pennants that came just before | 1teepee
09/11/2019 15:01 | Extract from a link claiming the opposite; "Pennants A pennant is a continuation pattern in technical analysis formed when there is a large movement in a security, known as the flagpole, followed by a consolidation period with converging trend lines - the pennant - followed by a breakout movement in the same direction as the initial large movement, which represents the second half of the flagpole" hxxps://www.investop You'll notice we have a strong "flagpole" supporting the Pennant. If our Pennant is perverse, I'll be most disappointed. | high park
09/11/2019 14:54 | Read them and it looks like a bullish pennant to me. Exciting times indeed. Little bit of news and this baby is gonna blow! Fireworks lit, wick getting shorter. Can some of the resident chartist offer an opinion rather than mr Metis who clearly has one eye on his short? | rogerthegrouch
09/11/2019 14:50 | Let's face it, though charting can be handy, on a share like this it's all about what sort of news drops and when. If China comes off, it's going up and visa versa. | clint fleecewood
09/11/2019 14:42 | another link once again for a bearish outcome the top line comes down more rapidly than the bottom line rises | metis20
09/11/2019 14:38 | By stipulating a preference for making shares available at the same price to investors and funds, NR has perhaps added a layer of complexity that might be influencing the time taken for BIGT to agree a deal? | grabster
09/11/2019 14:37 | Interesting metis20, but my book, Martin Pring on Price Patterns, says the opposite. Falling Pennants generally result in upwards breakouts, and vice versa. | high park
09/11/2019 14:24 | Looks promising high park...of course, should news land earlier the chart could suddenly look like a Tony Seba one! | woodpeckers
09/11/2019 14:23 | post 82912 - the upper blue line is coming down significantly more quickly than the bottom blue line is rising - this signals a bearish outcome. | metis20
09/11/2019 13:50 | Does it need to be more sophisticated high park? The line currently goes up to hit 3.67 over time but we will see how it turns out. No idea whether the BIGT dilution will have an impact on that but it will be a positive strong breakout as you have pointed out. Some of it will depend on how much Chinese investors will want to be involved. | luckyorange
09/11/2019 13:50 | High park, it can break out at any point and yes it will be powerful, very powerful :) | rogerthegrouch
09/11/2019 13:32 | Our graph shows a totally classical Pennant with contracting Volume. Breakout in a month or so. As this Pennant is already two years in the making, the Breakout will be particularly powerful. Can somebody do a more sophisticated graph, please. free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | high park
09/11/2019 13:22 | Because there are daily new arrivals on this board, who will be put off having anything to do with VRS if they read his stuff. In addition, discussing VRS with friends and acquaintances who do their research before investing, and coming across an unfiltered board is not encouraging. I know, I've heard their feedback. | axotyl
09/11/2019 13:17 | If club is annoying you guys so much, why not just filter him? | high park
09/11/2019 12:54 | club, did you ever get round to sending that ditto to the financial regulator? | nellyb
09/11/2019 12:39 | Scrutable - in the case of the SAF the earthquake is inevitable, it's the timing that's in doubt. I'm sure that, like me, you hope Ricketts delivers sooner rather than later. BTW, have you asked Ricketts about this 'interminable' delay? Bet you never dreamed it would take this long when he took a day out to come visit, did you? | club sandwich |
