10/10/2019 10:38 | "Firstly, it is obvious that the people criticizing Neill for saying that the graphene market will plateau have not listened to the podcast." Yes I have thanks. "Secondly, anyone who thinks that any market will not plateau eventually is the worst kind of investor." Ricketts himself said "If it ever does...", so... "It seems there are some ignorant addicts on here" take a look in the mirror, buddy. | ![]() club sandwich

10/10/2019 10:16 | Haydale Not looking good, hopefully many paid attention to this thread, not certain posters and GTF out of that. Hayd continue with their BS and since the 2p catastrophic fund raise it has dropped another 50%, a 99.5% drop since many of us warned re the BS and lies there. Now it seems we are in for round 2 in the near future. First up, that fund raise was 2.2 mill short of what they wanted, then add in the YE update in July. As predicted, it has been a challenging few months refocusing resources and commencing restructuring activities which has resulted in slightly higher costs than previously indicated. So higher costs than they anticipated post the fund raise, low end of forecast and 2.2 mill less than they wanted. So more fund raising to come it seems with big indicator being the diving share price I can't believe the F wits invested in the first place then quite stupidly got involved in the 2p raise on which they are 50% down already. It's been a disaster, a den of deceit from the start. It's time for it to roll over and go to sleep imo. If bits of kit left over are of any worth, then NR can reverse the motor up empty the loose change out of the ashtray and cart it off to do something useful with it. | ![]() superg1

10/10/2019 09:54 | Re a large order - If there were other companies hot on our heels (ie verified by the Chinese and the NGI and with great government backing), I would understand the worry that some here appear to have...there are none (please feel free to correct me if others know differently). Having said that, I am pleased that Neill is aware that we can't become complacent. He and the team are pushing as hard as they can to get these orders over the line and I am confident that they will start to land any day now. When the orders start coming we will see the J curve that Tony Seba talks about suddenly kick in. Like the rest of you, I'm excited to be at that point but I'm not at all concerned about the current situation, the contrary in fact. The graphenes market will be absolutely huge. The BOD are doing everything right in my book to ensure that we get the lion's share. Relax people, nearly there.... | ![]() woodpeckers

10/10/2019 09:30 | There is at least one other verification company that has verified other producers. In any case all they verify is that the graphene meets the spec sheet that VRS publish. So what? Nobody thought it didn't anyway did they? I'd be more worried by the fact that they have confirmed the 45M^2 SSA number. That's not very high at all and indicates many hundreds of layers. VRS say its because Nanene restacks when they test it for surface area. Maybe so but surely that has implications on its applicability? Further the lateral size of Nanene has a very low lower bound. It looks like their process to get few layers reduces lateral size. As we know aspect ratio (lateral size to layers) is very important. Be careful what you want verified! | ![]() loglorry1
10/10/2019 09:28 | Jointer13 I agree with everything that you wrote. That is why I am such a big VRS holder. I was talking about the risks, not the pros. Why do you think NR refers to his environment as a race? He understands the situation will not stay as it is for VRS. GEIC is an empowerment machine which is why the Government has invested so heavily in it. To effectively ride the growth wave for Graphene when it really comes, VRS will need a much bigger capital base than it currently has; hence the BIGT 15% to be followed in the States and South Korea with further 15% stakes and further value chain acquisitions such as 3D printing to ensure our slice of the cake is as large as first mover advantage deserves it to be. To say we dont need a big order soon under the above circumstances is to stick ones head in the sand. | ![]() ridicule

10/10/2019 09:10 | "I'm so glad lithium-ion batteries finally recognised! They are one of the most influential pieces of materials science that influence the modern life of everyone on the planet. It remarkable too that although 30 years old, they have not been eclipsed by a better battery technology even now, which makes you realise what a remarkable discovery they are." Taken from comments following the award of the Nobel Prize For Chemistry to the developers of the l-ion battery. We've read of numerous possible next-generation replacements under development recently - including some that involve graphene or other new 2d materials. It could be that this award completes the l-ion story ahead of the next chapter beginning? | ![]() grabster
10/10/2019 09:01 | Not allowed to post is superg1 threads (goes back 6 years plus to IOF). So will post here.... It is in response to a post on the other thread where someone says that VRS is the only verified graphene producer. But is VGP status worth that much ? Appears that Samsung and other large companies are happy to work with non VGP companies or do it themselves. They have a lot of scientists who could verify that what they are getting/making is good for the purpose, so it doesn't appear that the wider world is taking much notice of the VGP label. This could be a betamax vs VHS moment, where the best solution (betamax) wasnt rolled out fast enough and the cheaper, more available solution (VHS) won out. | ![]() fft
10/10/2019 08:37 | This website is quite useful to stay up to date with what the competition is up to. stuff about Talga and batteries, XG Science and concrete, etc. Also, if you type "verified graphene producer" in the search bar, you'll find that 7 months later Versarien remains the only company. This was one of my worries when it was announced back in March, I was afraid that the VGP certificate would be achieved by all the big players in the field but it seems that the competition is unable to obtain the VGP label. Also, interesting RNS yesterday, good to see that Hexotene is starting to make its way towards industrial applications. | mryl
