compoundup, many thanks for your post 79450, most useful.

This is why on my 'checklist' I have point 4- Are the BOD still 'forward looking' ...ensuring that we are committing enough to R&D to ensure that we can retain our position as market leaders?

It is almost 6 months since we became  the first graphene company in the world to successfully complete the Graphene Council's "Verified Graphene Producer" programme which is highly commendable but we can’t afford forest on our laurels.

As Neill has stated in the past, this is a race. The rewards for a company able to make first to market in a verifiable new technology like this will be huge but we mustn’t forget that there are many on our coat tails. Hanging on to that lead means that we must put time & money into R&D and keep track of the competition.

I’m happy to hear comments like yours as it shows that we are doing that.

Anyone need any further evidence of how totally unhinged Graham is? Fantasies of violence - deeply disturbing.

That's what happens when you trail HUGE deals from VRS for a year and *nothing* ever arrives - it pushes you over the edge of sanity.

And he had various major issues even *before* that - narcissistic personality disorder being just one.

He has about as much credibility left as Ricketts - ie none at all.

I heartily agree superg1 and could tell you many anecdotes confirming your view. Basically "it's the only language they understand".

There's already one aircraft manufacturer using versarien product, although it's not yet scaled. More will follow.

Great time for accumulators.Recent expansion of our knowledge . E.G. scope magnification. In China. That's just one example.Lamborghini using super caps! These tractor manufacturers showing the way. Not our super caps - yet. Was there any news on Zap n Go! My favourite as it happens. Elastic pulling us up to multi Unicorn Status.Elastic concrete ! __________No more B from me btw

Grabster Following on from your idea of graphene enhanced carpets, what if the infused graphene could act as a radiator to warm a room. Having seen the demo a4 sized graphene printed underfloor panel that could radiate heat in a similar way, having a carpet that could achieve a similar aim would remove the need for a separate process. Just dreaming...Baz

If they do a deal with the Chinese or Koreans or Japanese - or Aecom, a concrete manufacturer or a tyre producer or similar - they're going to need many hundreds or thousands of Ts, not 30!Solving *that* problem is what I call scale-up!

Shavian, Firstly, good to meet you at the agm.Looking at the t-shirt that was passed around, my view is that the hexagon design was screen printed onto one side of the fabric, hence adding an extra operation to the process.Baz

Lagananeil: Lucky me, I flew with the original Red 1 (Ray Hannah)in a practice show at Fairford in April 66. Unforgettable!

Look like Iain had lots of fun in Seattle, just like Neill said at the AGM

Shavian & Scottishfield. My take on the "30T machine" at the post-AGM Q&A was that Neill was more nuanced about capacity.

We know that there was a bottleneck in the modular system, which was only latterly resolved by the insertion of a new device enabling the production rate to rise to 3T/annum.

I think he was saying that:
- the new process VRS are trying to put together doesn't involve the modular concept that they have used to get to 3T/annum.
- they are targetting a continuous production rate of 30T/annum (IIRC Neill said that until they are able to test the process they won't know whether they will achieve more or less than that figure).

IIRC the "3T machine" was based on machinery that was already in production for other purposes being adapted for VRS' needs. A truly bespoke processing line that improves efficiency will be a welcome advance, especially if it also decreases the cost of production.

I fervently hope the R&D effort going into this new production process works out and that it can be configured to keep IP discreet. If/when FLG becomes commoditised in the future, the IP for efficient process machinery to produce it is going to be valuable.

GE Aviation is among the attendees mentioned at the Seattle bash. Possibly relevant to Versarien we think ;-)

Reading between the lines (& VRS being the biggest jam tomorrow share going) I think I can safely postulate that VRS are in negotiations to buy Boeing. 11 tick ups for this dreamer's nonsense!

At yesterday's AGM Neill commented during a re-election resolution for Director Ian Gray that he couldn't make the AGM as he was in Seattle, adding 'We are pleased that he is in Seattle'.

Much later I asked him 'if it was a coincidence that Boeing was also in Seattle? Neill kept his lips shut but he couldn't hide a smile, and I said 'thank you for the answer'. He followed that (beaming smile) with how nice a place Seattle is to visit etc...

We (IKN and I) believe Ian was at Boeing Supply Chain Conference.

Shavian, re 3 tonne v 30 tonne for textiles. My understanding is that textiles doesn't use graphene (Nanene), but does use VRS 'Graphinks' which is manufactured by a completely method.

Best wishes - Spike
